Vascular Access – Built on a history of innovation, our Arrow® brand of technically advanced vascular access devices are renowned throughout the world. Position Summary

Under direct supervision, perform testing and digital management tasks according to established procedures and ASTM and ISO guidelines for product/process qualification, validation, FDA submissions and legal requests.

Principal Responsibilities

Test Execution
1.    Perform physical, thermal, and chemical tests on raw materials and finished products in accordance with established procedures and ASTM and ISO guidelines. Such testing includes tensile and elongation, flexural modulus, moisture content, melt index, torque testing, chemical testing, flow rate, air and liquid leakage, dimensional testing, simulated aging, shore hardness, thermal degradation, rheology, melt point determination, etc.

2.    Set up test systems and equipment with direct supervision or assistance.

3.    Continuously operate testing/process equipment with minimal assistance.

4.    Communicate testing details and needs to immediate team members and/or engineering representatives.

5.    Adhere to basic laboratory safety practices at all times.

Record Keeping
6.    Document test details within digital lab reports, in a timely manner.

7.    Manage and report data and test records within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

8.    Maintain accurate reporting of testing status within the LIMS.

Lab Maintenance
9.    Maintain lab cleanliness and organization.

10.    Maintain lab supplies and place orders as needed.

11.    Maintain lab equipment and instrumentation in good working condition.

General
12.    Provide other department support as requested by the immediate supervisor.

13.    Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex’s Code of Ethics, all company policies, rules, procedures, and standard housekeeping.

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Associates Degree in a scientific discipline, BS preferred
•    0-2 years laboratory experience

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

Required:
-    Competency with Microsoft Office Products or similar
o    Proficient with document/text formatting within Word and Excel
o    Ability to navigate file systems, manage data, and share information digitally
o    Ability to communicate regularly through Outlook and Teams, maintaining calendars and tracking tasks appropriately.
-    Attention to detail
o    Record and communicate detailed observations of testing
o    Recognize patterns in repeated testing, identifying outliers in populations

Preferred:
-    Microbiological techniques (serial dilution, plate reading) and biological media prep
-    Experience with human biologics (blood, plasma handling)
-    Understanding of basic lab instrumentation (pipettes, vortex mixers, incubators)
