Position Summary
Teleflex is seeking a Senior Payroll Coordinator to join our team! This position includes processing time sheets, updating, and entering payroll data, answering employee questions via ticketing system or phone, and making sure that all employee records are correct and that they are paid accurately and timely.
This position is based at our Wayne, PA office. The selected candidate is expected to work onsite for a minimum of 3 days per week.
Principal Responsibilities
- Process Weekly, Biweekly, and Monthly payrolls including Canada
- Check/Audit payroll information for accuracy
- Coordinate with Human Resources about changes in payroll (e.g. terminations, new/rehires)
- Review and audit employee information in the payroll system
- Oversee electronic payments and distribution of payroll checks
- Review/adjust timesheets in the Time & Attendance system and process timesheet uploads weekly
- Process garnishments including child support, and state levies, etc.
- Oversee weekly check requests for garnishments and setting up new vendors
- Work with external vendors and internal departments
- Process other compensations such as bonuses, severance, and commissions
- Generate reports as needed
- Work as a liaison between other departments and locations in resolution of payroll related changes
- Must have the ability to maintain confidential information
- Provides training to Payroll Coordinator
- Coordinate and assist Finance department with end of month bank reconciliation
- Provide general ledgers on a weekly basis to Finance
- Process Canada payroll and General Ledgers
- Adhere to and ensure compliance with the Teleflex Code of Ethics, all company policies, rules, and procedures.
- Complete other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education / Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college preferred or combination of equivalent work experience and education considered
- 2+ years’ experience with payroll processes
- Experience with mainstream payroll and time/attendance systems; SAP Payroll/Employee Central Payroll (ECP) preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint, Visio - with a willingness to learn and master other software programs as needed. Intermediate Excel and Math skills required
