Position Summary

This position assists the Compliance Officer Americas and Interventional Urology Business Unit and Manager Interventional Business Unit LATAM to ensure business activities are compliant with Teleflex’s Anticorruption Compliance program which is aligned with the 7 Elements of an Effective Compliance Program (plus the 8th Element from the UK Bribery Act).  This specifically includes internal policies, procedures, standard operating procedures, external guidance such as Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) AdvaMed Code of Ethics, HIPPA, Commercial Practice Standards Association (CGPA) Code of Conduct as well as with Federal and State Laws, Acts, FDA requirements and guidelines such as Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, Sunshine Act, FD&C Act, FCPA,  BIOTECanada Commercial Practice Standards.

This position can be worked remotely from any location in the US.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Contribute and assist with:
o    Reseller due diligence;
o    Completion, reporting, and communications related to mandatory Global Compliance training related areas of responsibility;
o    Development, execution, tracking, and reporting of new hires Compliance training and education;
o    Review of internal communications;
o    Center of Excellence initiative;
o    Management of Compliance email inbox;
o    Maintaining and reporting on the Auditing and Monitoring plan;
o    Maintaining corrective action and exception logs;
o    Corporate Funding, i.e., grants, sponsorships, memberships, etc.;
o    Identifying and maintaining key indicators of group execution; and 
o    Investigations.
•    Be the point of contact for assigned Business Units related to compliance matters.
•    Support the Compliance group by periodically measuring the effectiveness of Compliance controls, policies, and SOPs to develop and implement appropriate recommendations.
•    Partner with the Compliance group on policy developments, including collecting feedback from reviewers and consolidating comments, and version control management.   
•    Promote awareness of the Teleflex Compliance Program.
•    Perform other duties as assigned or required to help ensure an effective Compliance Program.

Education / Experience Requirements

•    A Bachelor’s degree is required, with a degree in Healthcare, Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field being a plus.
•    Three to four years of medical device, pharmaceutical, or other healthcare experience.
•    Familiarity with laws and regulations associated with the above risks and related controls is required.

•    Must possess strong knowledge of various Compliance tools and systems along with the knowledge of laws, regulations, codes, etc., related to healthcare compliance.
•    Unquestionable ethics, integrity, and confidentiality.
•    Excellent project management and process improvement skills.
•    Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
•    Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required.
•    Strong time and document management skills with a high degree of attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
•    Energetic, flexible and self-motivated with the ability to work independently, often without assistance or supervision.
•    Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
•    Ability to gather, analyze, evaluate facts, and reach appropriate conclusions.
•    Ability to collaborate and work effectively as a liaison between multiple areas and be a team player.
•    Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software including SharePoint.
•    Ability to speak, read and write Spanish preferred but not necessary.
•    Ability to travel for live monitoring of business.
