Position Summary

The Analyst, Investor Relations, will contribute to workstreams that appropriately and strategically position Teleflex to analysts, investors, and all stakeholders. This position reports directly to the VP, Investor Relations and Strategy Development, and will be responsible for analysis, financial modeling, and strategy to support the investor relations function. The position requires an accounting background, excellent financial modeling, and strong interpersonal skills. It also requires the ability to carefully manage relationships with consultants.  



Principal Responsibilities

  • Analyze and present financial models, equity valuations, shareholder issues, and other items that could impact the business.
  • Create presentations, press releases, and other communication materials for earnings releases, industry events, and investor conferences.
  • Manage presentations for the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
  • Work with legal counsel to ensure compliance for external communications.
  • Work closely with senior management, including CEO, CFO, and business unit leadership to understand the drivers of the business.
  • Collaborate with global finance departments, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, and tax.
  • Manage quarter-end communication with the global business units.
  • Monitor investment research and communicate relevant information to the CEO and CFO.
  • Support the IR function by developing the investor relations strategy and participating in calls with investors and analysts.
  • Participate in the development of the company’s Annual Report and review SEC filings, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and 8-Ks.
  • Participate in the Company’s Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives to interface with external ratings agencies.

Education / Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years of accounting/finance experience, or 3+ years of experience working in investor relations at a profitable company (healthcare industry preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting.
  • MBA or CFA certification is an asset.


Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

  • Strong accounting or financial analysis skills.
  • Understands financial modeling techniques and valuation methods used by analysts and investors for medical device companies.
  • Knowledge and understanding of capital markets, and the key valuation metrics.
  • Entrepreneurial and client-focused mind.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with the ability to meet project deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
