Position Summary

The successful candidate will assist the Tax Team in the preparation of federal, and state income/franchise tax and US information returns for foreign subsidiaries and quarterly tax provision calculations for Teleflex U.S. entities.  Basic accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team are necessary for this position.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Prepare U.S. Federal & State Income and Franchise Tax returns and supporting work papers.
  • Assist in quarterly estimated tax calculations for federal and state taxes and coordinate payment of estimated tax liabilities.
  • Assist in preparation of the annual and quarterly tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740.
  • Respond to state notices and assist in tax audits.
  • Assist with federal & state tax-related projects and research.
  • Assist international tax team in preparation of federal information returns for foreign subsidiaries (Forms 5471 and 8858) and disclosures for cross-border transactions.
  • Assist in preparation of Form 1118 and foreign tax credit calculations.
  • Assist in quarterly and year-end review of provision calculations of assigned foreign entities and assist in preparation of foreign income inclusion calculations.
  • Assist in preparation and review of W8-BEN forms.
     

Education / Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance-related field.
  • This is an entry-level position. 1-2 years of tax experience preferred, however also open to students currently enrolled in an accounting or finance bachelor’s degree program that will be graduating soon.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
