Position Summary

Teleflex is seeking a Benefit Analyst to join our Total Rewards team.  This key member of the team works closely with the Senior Manager and Director and is responsible for the day-to-day administration and operational support of our employee health & welfare and retirement programs across the U.S. and Canada. This role ensures programs are communicated effectively and delivered accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations.

 

Principal Responsibilities

•    Administers U.S. and Canadian health & welfare benefits, including open enrollment.  Coordinates day to day with vendors and internal partners to ensure accurate enrollments, coverage, payroll contributions, and data integrations.  
•    Administers the 401(k) plan, working closely with our recordkeeper to provide timely and accurate processing of contributions, funding, and loans.  Coordinates audits, compliance filings (e.g., Form 5500), and ongoing plan maintenance.
•    Processes benefit programs billings/invoices.  Ensures timely and accurate payment, along with reporting and tracking expenses in partnership with finance.
•    Coordinates the day-to-day administration of our leave of absence programs. Includes partnering with payroll and the vendor for accurate pay during a leave of absence, promoting easy-to-understand employee communications, and supports HRs with claim issues, as necessary.
•    Monitors and ensures all regulatory filings and notifications are timely, and programs are compliant with federal and state laws, including various state leave programs and other benefit-related regulations. 
•    Requests, analyzes, and prepares data reports from appropriate internal/external resources to support cost management and program effectiveness, assisting with benefit planning/compliance/development. 
•    Develops, improves, and documents processes and tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
•    Serves as a knowledgeable resource for plan participants and internal partners.
•    Adheres to and is compliant with the Teleflex Code of Ethics, all company policies, rules, and procedures.
•    Completes other duties and tasks assigned.

 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
•    Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the administration of employee benefits, including health & welfare, retirement, and voluntary benefits
•    Experience in vendor management, HRIS, and benefit administration systems
•    Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) a plus

•    Understanding of federal and state regulations impacting employee benefits administration
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Microsoft Office, especially Excel skills
