Position Summary

Interfacing with manufacturing and quality assurance teams, this Wallingford, Connecticut based  Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all safety regulations are upheld, documentation and quality inspection (visual, functional & dimensional) for raw material and finished goods is performed, and acts as a valuable resource to ensure that the production process guarantees that Teleflex’s Z-Medica portfolio of hemostatic medical devices meets quality expectations.

2nd shift position: 2:30PM-11:00PM

Principal Responsibilities

o    Perform incoming inspections of materials and purchased items.
o    Perform visual, functional, and dimensional inspection as per product requirements to assure quality standards and specifications are met.
o    Perform manufacturing process monitoring to ensure all Device Master Record (DMR) requirements are being met.
o    Record all quality verification in the applicable records following Good Documentation Practices guidelines.
o    Identify, segregate, custody and manage non-conforming material.
o    Keep working area clean and organized.
o    Assist with the tracking, boxing, labeling, and recordkeeping related to retain samples.
o    Compliant with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
o    Other responsibilities assigned to support the Quality System as needed.

Education / Experience Requirements

o    High School Diploma/GED required
o    Strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work individually as well as part of the team.
o    Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
o    Occasional overtime may be required.
o    Shift work may be required.
o    Experience in Quality Inspection, Quality Testing, and Receipt of Materials is preferred.
o    Experience working in a regulated environment (FDA GMP, ISO, etc) is preferred.

Additional Skills Include: Microsoft Office experience, Administrative Support, additional duties - as needed
