Position Summary
Exhibits and supports the development of a culture that identifies safe, quality production as the number one goal. Responsible for the preparation of cut-to-length material and set up of laser to strip the material to customer specifications.
Principal Responsibilities
1. Properly calculate the number of windows and required length for order.
2. Identify differences between conforming and non-conforming products by visually inspecting using microscopies and naked eye.
3. Safely thread up cutters, cutting wheels, respool machines, and laser stripers.
4. Operates lasers, welders and tipping heaters in a safe quality-focused manner.
5. Records measurements, labels spools, generates and files test reports.
6. Verify raw materials, check lot numbers and direct materials to specified areas.
7. Packages and labels cut to length pieces, laser wire, and welded parts
Education / Experience Requirements
High School diploma or GED preferred. Two years of manufacturing experience in the medical products tubing/insulating environment preferred.
• Knowledge of site processes, equipment and infrastructure.
• Skill in analyzing information of considerable difficulty and drawing valid conclusions; evaluating and implementing new methods and techniques for operational improvement;.
• Skill in motivating, communicating with and instructing/training others, using both technical and non-technical language to explain complex subjects and processes.
• Skill in oral communications for persuasive, training and technical purposes and in establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with other employees and the general public.
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands
• Work is performed in a manufacturing plant with exposure to loud noise. Work may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosive, fumes or airborne particles.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, stoop, walk, sit, reach, demonstrate manual dexterity, talk, hear, and see.
• Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in the manufacturing plant environment, including hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and other protective equipment as required.
• Teleflex promotes a drug/alcohol-free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and for cause drug testing.
• Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 15 pounds) and perform other similar actions during course of a workday.
