Position Summary

Under supervision, he/she performs activities or assignments where fundamental knowledge of concepts, techniques, or practical experience within an engineering discipline enables him/her to support manufacturing processes or projects.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Under supervision he/she implements improvements in manufacturing processes using engineering tools and observing quality system policies (examples: URS, TMV, IQ, OQ, PQ). 
  • Executes analysis activities or write reports by using Microsoft office tools or queries in documentation systems (Agile, GKN, etc.) for assigned tasks or improvement projects.  
  • Provides engineering support for assigned tasks on production lines observing quality systems for tasks such as but not limited to root cause investigations, trainings, etc.
  • Executes engineering runs, collecting data and executing its capture in analysis packages such as Excel Word, Project, Minitab or equivalent.
  • Executes time studies for process optimization and write manufacturing instructions or visual aids on assigned projects.
  • Under supervision initiates engineering changes to modify or update process instructions or system updates.

Education / Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor level degree in engineering
  • At least 2 years minimum preferably within the medical device industry

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Experience working with manufacturing and automation equipment suppliers, contractors, assembly personnel.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and multi-functional departmental leadership.
  • An understanding of ISO, GMP and FDA regulations.
