Position Summary
The role will be responsible for accelerating market growth and driving strategic marketing initiatives across the APAC region, by driving the success of existing and new product portfolios through comprehensive market planning, competitive positioning, and commercial execution across the Asia Pacific region.
This role works with regional and global counterparts and sales leaders to execute on objectives for applicable markets and segments while providing excellence in team leadership, strategic marketing, driving change, and ensuring collaboration through Sales, Regional Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Clinical Education and Clinical Affairs teams.
The successful candidate will possess deep regional insight, a strategic mindset, and a hands-on executional ability to convert opportunity into tangible business results.
Principal Responsibilities
1. Growth Strategy & Execution
• Define and drive regional business growth strategies, tailored to the diverse market maturity levels across Asia
Pacific countries.
• Lead long-term portfolio planning and pipeline development in collaboration with global marketing and R&D.
• Identify high-opportunity market segments and create aggressive, localised strategies to capture share in Tier
1 cities and resource-limited rural areas.2. Commercial Leadership in Challenging Environments
• Navigate price-sensitive markets precisely by deploying value-based messaging, tiered product offerings, and
economic impact tools.
• Develop cost-effective marketing models to reach underserved healthcare settings with limited clinical staffing
and infrastructure.
• Champion innovative go-to-market approaches such as digital medical education, remote sales training, and
public-private partnerships.
3. New Product Launch Excellence
• Lead end-to-end new product launch planning, including customer segmentation, pricing, messaging, training,
and competitive positioning.
• Ensure robust launch execution in high-priority markets like China, South Korea, Japan, and Southeast Asia,
managing cross-functional coordination with sales, regulatory, and market access teams.
4. Market Intelligence & Competitive Strategy
• Deliver deep competitive analysis, voice of customer research, and market trends reporting to shape strategic
choices and counter competitor moves.
• Anticipate procurement, hospital tendering, and policy shifts that impact product uptake and proactively create
mitigation strategies.
5. Sales Enablement & Field Engagement
• Equip local commercial teams with high-impact sales tools, clinical messaging, and objection-handling assets.
• Lead dynamic regional training programs and embed marketing strategy at the field level through frequent inmarket
presence and joint customer visits.
6. Regulatory & Market Access Support
• Work closely with regulatory and market access teams to accelerate approvals and secure favourable
reimbursement, especially in restrictive or high-barrier markets.
• Contribute to health economics and outcomes research to support pricing and reimbursement negotiations.
7. KOL Engagement & Clinical Advocacy
• Build and maintain strong relationships with regional and local key opinion leaders (KOLs) to drive product
endorsement, early adoption, and education.
• Partner with medical affairs on clinical evidence development, publications, and speaker programs.
8. Regional Collaboration & Influence
• Act as a bridge between global strategy and region/local execution, translating high-level marketing direction
into APAC-relevant programs.
• Influence country-level stakeholders and create alignment across complex, matrixed environments to ensure
success.
• Perform other tasks as requested.
Education / Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA
preferred
• 10+ years of experience in regional sales and marketing within medical devices, diagnostics, or healthcare,
with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Asia Pacific. Medical devices in Vascular and Emergency Medicine
are preferred.
• Fluent in English, additional APAC language desirable
• Experience working in a matrix, multicultural environment
• Demonstrated successes with a solid understanding of regional healthcare dynamics
• Proven expertise in new product launches, market access, and commercial growth in complex regulatory and
economic environments
• Strong ability to lead without authority, manage cross-functional teams, and influence stakeholders across
borders

and customer skills.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills
• Deliver results by adopting a flexible, innovative, and compliant approach.
• Must be proficient in using Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office tools.
