Position Summary

The incumbent will manage assigned improvement projects and initiatives across Supply Chain Management (SCM) organization within APAC region. This role will interface with key stakeholders to ensure that projects run successfully and meet the company performance indicators under People, Quality, Service and Value.  The role is responsible to take up regional Supply Chain Management (SCM) projects while supporting Global function and make independent assessments of current business and/or functional performance within the enterprise.  

The primary role is to identify, evaluate, develop, implement and drive performance improvements and recommendations at a regional level and align globally.

The secondary role is to provide technical execution and leadership for a reporting, analytics, and automation support (Operations Business Intelligence). Designs and develops new systems, with an emphasis on minimized maintenance requirements


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned projects and initiatives across the Supply Chain Management organization in the APAC region and ensures alignment with Global requirements
  • Leads and drives assigned continuous improvement projects and cross site initiatives  
  • Gathers and interprets internal and external business requirements for a segment or multi-segment process, and establishes optimal process parameters.
  • Reviews business performance with leaders and works with multiple teams, interpreting results to synthesize findings, developing improvement recommendations, leading initiatives and ensuring feedback loop to the strategy process.  
  • Demonstrates experience in having responsibility for broad organizational improvement efforts.
  • Understands and is able to assess financial methodologies.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders on cross-organizational improvement opportunities.
  • Provides trainings to internal stakeholders not limited to Black Belts, Green Belts, Kaizen Leaders, and Sponsors whenever required to fulfil the assigned projects or goals
  • Applies in-depth skills and broad knowledge of the business to address complex problems and non-standard situations
  • Acts as a key contributor in a complex environment
  • Design, develop, test, optimize and deploy BI solutions for Operations BI analytics and automation solutions. Develops and delivers comprehensive requirements documents and standard operating procedures. Additional responsibilities will include, but not limited to, assisting in effort estimation, status reporting and capacity planning to refine proof of concept and BI solution model
  • Streamline existing technology implementations to establish a reusable, maintainable data infrastructure ie back-end data integration
  • Validate business data and propose cleansing and data conversion methodology to remove data inaccuracy, inconsistency and abnormalities ie caused by adhoc events
  • Provide ad-hoc support in the form of functional data research, report generation, and analytical support
  • Build up BI knowledge and high competency among key APAC operations members through comprehensive training material, training programme and competency test
  • Designs and propose improved operational procedures to maximize system efficiencies; provides guidance to solving complex operation malfunctions
  • Communicates accurate and timely project status, issues, risks and scope changes to Program manager



  • All key stakeholders from Global operations and APAC



  • Utilizes broad and deep supply chain management knowledge to develop innovative new business practices, policies and procedures at regional level
  • Contributes to the development of department strategy
  • Works on cross functional cross region projects of significance with long-term impact
  • Work with Program manager to define project; establishes budgets; identifies participants and mitigates risk
  • Work with Program Manager in stakeholders and management engagement to determine project objectives with long-term implications
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management and staff
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines
  • Proficiency with programming language ie SQL for both data analysis and automation
  • Familiarity building SAP/BW and Cognos reports
  • Familiarity with dashboard tools (Tableau preferred)
  • Strong team player with commitment to excellence

  • 20% Travel



  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 8 - 10 years experience in Warehousing, freight/distribution, Customs, Customer Service, Demand/Supply Planning
  • Certification as Six Sigma Green Belt required
