Product Manager, Intervention Urology

Position Summary

The Interventional Urology (IU) Product Manager for SEA+ serves as a key member of the IU Business Unit’s APAC team and will have responsibilities for market development, product sales, and market strategy. This position will focus on the development, coordination and execution of sales and marketing plans to drive sustained product adoption and achieve sales growth with the Interventional Urology portfolio with marketing programs and global best practices. This key role is essential to the rapid adoption of the Interventional Urology portfolio and will interact with customers and key stakeholders as we expand our customer base and grow sales in a dynamic and fast-paced business.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Develop strategic business plan and playbook for country launch while adhering to the International Expansion Playbook and Critical Success Factors.
•    Drive “best practices” of marketing programs in the region.
•    Collaborate with global and regional teams to deliver tools and tactics that assure growth and success of the Interventional Urology business in the region.
•    Drive product introduction and adoption by working directly in the field with urologists and the local societies.

•    Drive brand recognition and product adoption through development and execution of key marketing programs including market research and digital campaigns. 
•    Monitor competitive activity and market trends in order to support strategic recommendations. 
•    Utilize business analytics to support decision making; provide active support to the sales team including the management of field-based marketing support.
•    Represent Teleflex at medical meetings and congresses, sales meetings and customer visits. Manage event sponsorships.
•    Maintain strong product knowledge, support internal and external customer education programs by working closely with professional education.
•    Perform other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience Requirements

•    BA/BS degree required

•    At least 8 years of experience in product marketing, direct marketing, marketing program management or in combination of sales 

•    Medical device industry experience is highly preferred. 

•    Must be fluent in both English and Chinese.


Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Successful track record of launching new and disruptive technologies

•    Strong strategic and tactical marketing skills.
•    Demonstrated ability to launch products on time and with success in the marketplace.
•    Thorough knowledge of the field of Urology, products, and strong relationships with local urologists is preferred.
•    Operating room or therapeutic delivery experience is preferred.
•    Strong track record of marketing programs to over deliver revenue versus sales plan.
•    Excellent negotiating skills; ability to adapt to changing work priorities; and ability to maintain good working relationships while dealing appropriately with sensitive and confidential matters and with a wide variety of personal and customer contacts.
•    Strong analytical skills with the ability to continuously refine strategic plans and marketing programs to achieve maximum performance.
•    Proficient in PC-based office computers, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
•    Individual must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally.  
•    Professional work ethic, strong organizational skills, and ability to operate independently.
•    Strong interpersonal skills, experience working with KOLs and physician champions.

•    High-energy; action oriented.
•    Ability and willingness to travel, up to 50%.
