Job Purpose

The Strategic Initiatives & Commercial Excellence function is a strategically positioned unit that equips commercial teams in Teleflex Asia Pacific (APAC) with the right set of capabilities to drive strong business growth. The unit focuses on strategy, organic & inorganic growth initiatives, commercial model optimization, sales force & marketing excellence, customer experience, digital transformation, business intelligence and capability building.


We are looking for a talented Strategy, Analytics & Insights Manager, who will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of the APAC growth strategy and ensure that it is grounded in strategic data-driven decisions. This individual will possess a deep understanding of the APAC healthcare landscape, key industry and market trends, and internal and external data sources to conceptualize and drive strategic initiatives. This is a high visibility role that requires the ability to think strategically and ‘connect the dots’, to engage and mobilize multiple stakeholders in a complex matrix environment.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Initiatives & Project Management

  • Support APAC region’s annual strategic planning exercise and drive its completion by liaising with regional, country, business unit and functional stakeholders
  • Partner with relevant regional, country, business unit and functional stakeholders to develop and implement key strategic initiatives across APAC for growth acceleration
  • Assess potential business development, market development, and new business model opportunities to complement and deepen existing portfolio offerings and commercial models
  • Manage APAC Strategic Initiatives Program Management Office (PMO) to track milestones and objectives, communicate progress versus targets, and resolve project risks


Analytics & Insights

  • Provide analytics and insights for effective strategy development, based on industry insights, market trends, competitor gap analysis, financial plans, portfolio analysis, etc.
  • Build an in-depth understanding of the healthcare and medical device landscape for countries in APAC to understand market trends and identify growth opportunities
  • Develop and maintain a strategic market database using internal and external data sources to determine market size and share, and track business performance
  • Conduct competitive intelligence and monitor competitor activities to inform commercial strategy and tactics


Essential Skills / Experience

  • A minimum degree in a Business, Science, Engineering discipline, or equivalent educational qualifications
  • At least 2-3 years in a previous consulting, strategic planning, or project management role, with a proven track record of driving positive business results in a multinational / matrix environment
  • Experienced in strategic planning, project management, business / financial / market analysis, statistical modelling, issue-based problem solving, consulting methodologies and frameworks
  • Skilled in developing short-, mid-and long-term strategies using a structured approach to problem-solving, data analytics, and synthesis of quantitative and qualitative information
  • Workshop facilitation skills to conduct strategy/growth/innovation workshops to co-create ideas and initiatives with key stakeholders to grow the business
  • Ability to influence, communicate and present well; a multilingual candidate (preferably Asian languages) would be an added plus
