POSITION SUMMARY:

The CMA Lead, Surgical APAC reports to the Director, Clinical Affairs, Surgical, Global, and is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of Clinical Education and procedural support in APAC for the Surgical Business Unit. The CMA Lead will ensure the team provides high level; multi-modal education focused on supporting the safe & effective use of strategic TFX products in alignment with Commercial Strategy. This role will lead the team in developing educational material, in compliance with the Off Label and Promotion Activities Policy and all IPPs. provides strategic and operational leadership to the regional Clinical and Medical Affairs team, driving clinical
excellence through high-quality, evidence-based education. The role is responsible for developing compliant educational content, leading and developing Clinical Managers and CMA talent, and ensuring consistent execution of CMA processes across the region.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Description of major duties and responsibilities of the role. 

The key responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst will include (but not limited to) the following:

• Work as part of the CMA APAC Leadership team for the assigned BU
• Organization Capability - Proactively manages performance and team dynamics to ensure that a fair, professional and high-performance environment, aligned with company values is maintained. Develops individual and organizational capabilities to build bench strength while delivering results now and into the future
• Lead the development of educational materials and content in compliance with Off-Label and Promotion Activities Policies
• Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development support to regional Clinical Managers (CMs) to identify and develop opportunities for:
- Peer-to-peer discussions
- Scientific presentations
- Educational meetings
- Professional affiliation and industry-related educational activities
• Identify, train, and mentor new team members to support professional growth and achievement of full potential
• Oversee recording/tracking of all educational records ensuring accuracy of PMO reporting
• Collaborate with the Director, Clinal Affairs, Surgical, Global, to ensure educational tactics and programs are aligned with commercial strategy
- Healthcare Professional (HCP) contracts
- Freelance Clinical Contractors
- Medical research grants
- Clinical education grants in alignment with CMA guidelines
• Monitor overall effectiveness of educational events to ensure learning objectives are met with appropriate product utilization
• Coordinate regular budget reviews/planning sessions with Director, Clinical Affairs, Surgical, Global
• Oversee annual Master Need development and approvals for APAC
• Oversee program deployment, related in-service education, and integration to clinicians to ensure satisfaction and patient safety

• Support the facilitation of the Sale Team training as well as other internal stakeholders on the operation, features, and benefits of Products and technology as well as the appropriate clinical application and the associated disease states requiring the various technologies
• Assist with the collection and dissemination of information or feedback provided by clinical customers.
• Support the evaluation of new products or enhancements to technology to provide information, feedback and clinical support to the Global Product Development and Marketing departments
• Oversee TFX representation at Professional Society Meetings/Congresses in educational programs and forums
• Prepares reports and analysis of activities to the VP, CMA Education and/or other executives
• Continuously increases knowledge of new developments within the region as well as products and procedures that may facilitate optimal patient care. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure appropriate support of business education requirements
• Other assigned duties and responsibilities as required to meet corporate goals

 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum level of education/experience required.

  • Minimum level of education/experience required.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferred. Equivalent clinical experience will be considered if deemed adequate to perform the duties and responsibilities of Clinical and Medical Affairs
  • Teaching qualification. Equivalent clinical experience will be considered if deemed adequate to perform the duties and responsibilities
  • Recent and ongoing clinical experience in general, bariatric, hepatobiliary, transplant, colorectal surgery or surgical environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing compliant HCP interactions in line with regional guidelines
  • Strong working knowledge of all Teleflex IPPs and CMA Policies
  • A minimum of two years of demonstrated managerial skills including managing people, resources and budgets
  • Previous experience in life science or medical device industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business, clinical, and employment practices across multiple APAC countries.
  • Previous experience supporting internal (sales; strategic accounts; management team, etc.) and external customers (physician offices, ASCs, hospital outpatient personnel, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in English required
  • Demonstrate effective educational and presentation skills in diverse settings from one-on-one to formal large group situations
  • Ability to work independently, and as a valued team member
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 50%, including overnight to clinical facilities, professional meetings, and educational activities by ground transport and/or aircraft as required to fulfil job responsibilities
  • Advanced MS Office skills to develop effective reports, spreadsheets, and presentations

 

SPECIALIZED SKILLS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Additional preferred or required qualifications.

Demonstrated adult educational experience including professional presentations to small and large group settings

 

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Minimum 50%
