Position Summary

Reporting to Finance Manager, the main responsibility will be to perform all the tasks encompassed in an accountancy role. This will include closing of monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounts for Singapore managed entities. Preparing statutory, management reports and liaising with internal and external parties for any financial related matters. Review of monthly accounting activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Full set of accounts/month end reporting for few entities within tight deadline, including but not limited to analysing and reconciliation of specific accounts, preparing journal entries.
  • Submit monthly reports in Hyperion, reconcile balance sheet items in Cadency - Trintech system, submit tax package to HQ in OneSource system, and provide ad hoc reports requested by APAC controller.
  • Prepare audit schedules including monthly loan and interest schedule & issue service fees billing to related companies. Ensure monthly intercompany balance with partners reconcile in Hyperion.
  • Prepare monthly inventory reconciliation, calculate quarterly provision for obsolescence and slow-moving stocks, PII (profit in inventory) analysis. Agent margin/commission calculation/AR interest calculation.
  • Liaison with shared service provider from Athlone & related parties to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Liaison with inter-department/bankers/auditors/tax agents/GD (Go Direct) distributors)/offshore service providers.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, bankers, corporate secretarial agents, local tax officer, government authorities where required.
  • Handle internal audit queries and requests e.g. SSCQ.
  • Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirement (VAT/GST/WHT/CIT/Statistic etc).
  • Cash flow management: submit quarterly/yearly cash flow forecast projection and forex hedging reporting (submit forecast data to intercompany partners).
  • Submit annual budget and quarterly forecast (Hyperion and/or PBCS)
  • Work closely with other departments to streamline process and provide technical opinions on accounting matters. Drive initiatives for direct entities for SEA+ (SG, TH, etc.)
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders & HQ pricing team on intercompany/transfer pricing maintenance matters.
  • Opex maintenance in BW and monthly dissemination of reports to budget owners.
  • TH: work with accounting agent on issuance of CN/invoices & work with IT on BI upload
  • Complete other financial reports, special projects or analyses as assigned.

  • Internal: All departments/Intercompany/share service provider/ US Corp team     
  • External: Bankers/auditors/tax officer/offshore service providers/4PL customers/GD distributors/Offshore service providers, i.e. TH accounting agent, legal firm etc.



Essential Skills/ Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or ACCA
  • 8 years accounting experience in a computerized and fast paced environment.
  • Possess strong accounting knowledge and good analytical skills
  • Pharmaceutical or medical devices industry experiences a plus.
  • Must have strong organization, communication, and multi-tasking skills. Solution-oriented with an ability to prioritize tasks, meticulous and able to meet tight reporting deadline (within 4 WD)
  • Well-versed in MS Office – working knowledge of Excel is a must 
  • Substantial experience with Hyperion or SAP applications required
