Position Summary

This role is responsible for generating new business and maintaining existing accounts with an emphasis on technical selling and relationship building. Focus on over-achieving sales objectives by increasing account penetration plans, coordinating sales strategies, developing and maintaining key customer relationships, conducting customer business reviews, driving communication, and supporting the selling efforts to close orders.

Principal Responsibilities

Drive customer sales and profit initiatives to achieve business goals and your assigned revenue quota. 
Work with sales and marketing management to develop and manage strategic sales plans to penetrate key accounts. 
Seek new sales opportunities and drive continuous improvement for coordination and management of existing business.
Quantify business opportunities presented by customers’ new products/projects.
Create and maintain long term business relationships at the senior level within your customer base.
Drive proactive customer communication by conducting and leading internal/external business reviews with your customer base.
Work with technical and product development teams to define new product opportunities.
Prepare weekly/monthly reports as updates to the business.
Ensure account information and knowledge management is current and accurate. 
Participate in operating plan activities to include budget, sales, profit and forecast. 
Provide ongoing communication to management regarding customer risk, opportunity, development and direction in market. Assessing business potential of current and new customers is a key.
Monitor publications and announcements from customer base and target customers, channeling information to management.
Assist the Corporate Accounts teams facilitate OEM contract negotiations (terms, conditions, product volumes and prices) for OEM customers within the assigned territory.
Meet with existing and new OEM customers to explain/recommend Teleflex Medical OEM’s products, design capabilities, and production facility capabilities.
Develop solid business relationships with OEM customers by encouraging the use of Teleflex Medical design assistance and arrange meetings with Teleflex Medical Engineering and support staff.
Communicate pricing proposals in accordance with the company's pricing guidelines and market trends. 
Manage OEM accounts and provide necessary follow-up to expedite orders and resolve problems involving payments, delivery, and product performance.
Monitor and control OEM customer performance to plan, and develop and implement progressive measures to assist client companies achieve stated sales objectives.
Evaluate territory performance against established objectives/guidelines (sales forecast, budget, number of new accounts, etc.) and take appropriate action to improve performance.
Provide accurate forecast of sales for the territory by customer and product on a timely basis.
Interact with OEM customers to ensure customer specifications and requirements are easily transferable to Teleflex Medical OEM systems. 
Ensure that all tasks associated with assigned projects are completed within the timeframe required to meet customer satisfaction.
Provide timely reporting of activities in the field and special reporting to assist in business and product planning.
Coordinate efforts with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Operations, Manufacturing, QA/RA, Finance, and Senior Management resources as needed.
Set up/Attend trade shows, consult industry directories, and travel to develop new and existing OEM customer leads.
Comply with FDA and ISO Quality Systems requirements.
Keep management abreast of market conditions, product performance, and make recommendations for future growth potential such as acquisitions, new market strategies, new product development based on market trends, etc. 
Manage expenses within specified budget and company policy guidelines.

Education / Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree required. Prefer focus in Engineering or Business.

Minimum of 3 years of sales experience required. Previous selling experinece to development engineers preferred. Strong preference for experience in technical and/or medical products.

A solid understanding of the medical device industry, and, in particular, cardiovascular, urology & orthopedic industry required. OEM business is preferred.

Product knowledge in catheter fabrication and/or extrusion preferred

A demonstrated track record for meeting sales objectives in a technology company; year over year results required.

Experinece in strategic planning and execution required

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

Fluent in Mandarin and English required. Korean is a plus.
Strong Project Management Skills
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Project, etc.
Ability to successfully work in a team environment
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
Excellent problem solving skills
Ability to work independently, with a high degree of initiative
Superior organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills

Must have the ability to travel internationally. Able to travel to traning and sales meetings in the US and Ireland.
