Position Summary
The Salt Lake City based Senior Sales Representative is an OR/Central Processing based sales role dedicated to the sale of Teleflex’s Pilling and KMedic branded surgical instruments within the broader surgical product portfolio. Growth objectives will be defined by and coordinated with the Instrument Sales Manager, achieved through selectively promoting the value proposition to OR Coordinators, Central Processing, Surgeons, and Hospital Materials Management.
Principal Responsibilities
• Attain or exceed annual sales quota.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the Teleflex surgical instrument portfolio.
• Collaborate with inside sales representatives, device sales representatives and leaders to drive sales results.
• Assist in establishing sales objectives for territory in cooperation with the Instrument Sales Manager
• Maintain established business and discover new opportunities in assigned territory.
• Communicate customer needs and solicit support internally to help achieve established objectives.
• Timely completion of all administrative responsibilities
• Provide accurate forecast of sales, by customer and product, on a timely basis.
• Conduct selling activities in compliance with Teleflex policies and procedures.
Education / Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 4+ years’ experience of prior B2B or medical device sales experience is expected, with a demonstrated track record of success.
• Transition from internal TDR program OR 1+ years of sales experience, with a proven successful track record.
• Ability to manage complexity and work in an environment of change.
• Ability to build credibility with a highly educated customer base. Interact with others through effective, verbal communication.
• Track record of demonstrating customer behavioral change and influence leading to product adoption.
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
• Possess a valid driver’s license and operate a motor vehicle with satisfactory driving records.
• Carry detail bag weighing up to 30 lbs.
• Lift equipment weighing up to 45 lbs.
• Be standing or walking in numerous hospitals or at meetings for 6 – 10 hours per day, up to five (5) days per week.
• Interact with others through effective, verbal communication.
• Establish and maintain all credentials (via RepTrax, Vendormate, etc.) to enter and work in hospital and other medical facilities as required by facility requirements.
