Position Summary
Interventional Urology
The Interventional Urology business unit of Teleflex is dedicated to developing innovative, minimally invasive and clinically effective devices that address unmet needs in the field of urology. The Market Development Manager, Interventional Urology Brazil is responsible for managing all commercial activities including market development, product sales, and market strategy. This position will focus on the development, coordination and execution of sales and marketing plans to drive sustained product adoption and achieve sales growth with the UroLift system sold across Brazil. The candidate will work with the global Interventional Urology business unit to adapt marketing programs and global best practices for Brazil. This key role is essential to the rapid adoption of the UroLift system and will manage distributers, interact with customers and key stakeholders as we expand our customer base and grow sales in a dynamic and fast-paced business.
Principal Responsibilities
• Meet or exceed quarterly sales quotas for the defined area for UroLift
• Create and manage programs to increase penetration and drive sales of existing products -- sales and product promotions, customer targeting.
• Provide day to day management of assigned product lines, programs and provide sales support to distributors.
• Research the market trends, market size and competitive landscape for assigned product franchises
• Deliver comprehensive clinical training support to distributors sales teams and physicians, facilitating rapid clinical independence.
• Develop content for core products and new product introductions including market development, training, education and sales / marketing collateral (publications, brochures, electronic media and marketing communication / education content).
• Develop, maintain and leverage key opinion leader (KOL) relationships for regional voice of customer (VOC) feedback and new idea generation process.
• Create designated product line positioning and pricing strategy.
• Support the Sales team with sales materials, customer communications and presentations, information for Request for Proposals (RFPs).
• Assist with creation and maintenance of operating plan and budget for assigned product line(s).
• Collaborate with Demand Planning, Manufacturing, and Distribution to maintain high service levels.
• Provide support, as needed, to the Regulatory Affairs team on local product registrations.
• Attend tradeshow meetings and education workshops. Participate in sales training efforts for assigned product line(s) at annual sales meetings and regional breakouts.

Education / Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree required with areas of preference including marketing, biomedical engineering, business administration or other similar degree area. Extensive related experience (eg Clinical) may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years sales and marketing experience in the medical device industry
• Prior marketing and/or market development experience is required.
• Must be fluent in Portuguese and English
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
• Comfort level in clinical environment (ICU, critical care, operating room, emergency room, etc).
• Demonstrated aptitude or prior experience with clinical terminology and general clinical practices in Interventional Urology is preferred.
• Strong formal and informal communication skills. Ability to succinctly present information and influence in both one-one-one interactions and formal presentations to senior leadership.
• Proven ability to demonstrate practical application of successful marketing / business / portfolio management concepts and methodologies, as well as knowledge of measurement and analysis of commercial effectiveness.
• Basic understanding of factors that impact product center’s profitable performance and competitive advantage (ie Revenue, Margin, ASP, Market Share Data, Pro-forma metrics, Market Definition)
• Ability to drive focus, prioritization, and effective time/project management.
• Proven ability to work with colleagues to drive consensus on product portfolio decisions.
• Ability to work in a lean environment without large infrastructure
