Indicated for the treatment of symptoms of an enlarged prostate up to 100cc in men 45 years or older. As with any medical procedure, individual results may vary. Most common side effects are temporary and include pain or burning with urination, blood in the urine, pelvic pain, urgent need to urinate and/or the inability to control the urge.1 Rare side effects, including bleeding and infection, may lead to a serious outcome and may require intervention. Position Summary

The Clinical Affairs Physician Proctor is part of the Clinical Medical Affairs (CMA) function at Teleflex.   In this full-time role, s/he will have an opportunity to work as part of a global, cross-functional team to make a meaningful difference in patient care. As a member of the Clinical Affairs Team s/he is responsible for educating and proctoring fellow Urology surgeons and their staff on the safe and effective use of the Urolift system to optimize clinical outcomes for patients.  The Clinical Affairs Physician Proctor will serve as a primary resource for Peer-to-Peer education and support.  S/he will work closely with their Clinical Affairs team members to provide physician guidance and direction for all physician level training.   S/he will support the Clinical Affairs team with complex issues and projects, as well as the development and strategy execution of the CMA mission.  The Clinical Affairs Surgeon Proctor is a procedural expert in the Urolift system and consultative resource for the educational programs offered by Teleflex. Position is based remote in the US. Ideally located near and major city and airport.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Provide proctoring and advanced training to support physicians achieving procedural independence
•    Support Clinical Affairs education and training programs during international launches 
•    Play an active role in the BPH Summits and other peer to peer programs
•    Support Residency and Academic educational programs
•    Support growth and development of the Clinical Affairs Team to support physician training
•    Collaborate and provide internal support to other areas of CMA and the Business Unit as requested
•    Serve as a consultative resource as requested on Clinical Affairs created education content 
•    Contribute to our culture of being collaborative, respectful, transparent, ethical, efficient, high-achieving, and fun!
•    Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex Medical’s Code of Conduct, all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
•    Perform other duties as assigned

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Minimum of 10 years of experience in the healthcare environment to provide strategic and scientific/medical direction to national/regional business unit functions.
•    Doctor of Medicine (MD) required
•    2 years’ experience using the Urolift system 
•    Minimum of 150 Urolift cases completed
•    Strong understanding and procedural experience with the Urolift system 

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Must be able to establish and maintain vendor credentials (via RepTrax, Vendormate, etc) to have the ability to enter and work, as required, in hospitals and other medical facilities, as an essential function of the job. Depending on customer/site requirements, vendor credentials may require the employee to obtain the COVID-19 vaccination, including boosters. 
•    Strong interpersonal skills and experience training surgeons in an OR/Office setting.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
•    Previous experience working in the medical device industryis a plus
•    Ability to analyze, interpret, and summarize clinical data
•    Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and ability to operate independently.
•    Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
•    Ability and willingess to travel approximately 80% of the time both domestic and international. Overnight travel will be required.
