Position Summary

Design, develop, and serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for the implementation of global labeling systems for a state-of-the-art approach to medical device labeling in Teleflex.  Serve as an SME for regulatory affairs in the area global labeling standards for the Teleflex labeling centre of excellence. 

Principal Responsibilities

•    Serve as SME for the technical architecture of a global labeling systems that drive global cost savings, label accuracy and artwork update efficiency. 
•    Design and development of technical roadmaps for integration of existing labeling design centres globally.  
o    Label processes that interface with multiple change control systems within Teleflex i.e. Agile, Veraciti (Kallik), Quantum, SAP.
o    Labelling artwork software and systems integration with the centre of excellence for labeling 
o    Ensure that the labeling processes, systems, and software integrate with global IT programs for ERP and manufacturing operators for label printing. 
o    Develop software requirements specification when necessary for interfacing IT systems in regard to labeling. 
•    Design, develop, and implement a system for e-labeling aligning with the current regulatory standards allow and build a foundation for expansion of e-labeling 
•    Create global labeling standards and process that support the centre of excellence for labeling for Teleflex 
•    Maintain a vision for future labeling technologies and strategies that Teleflex could benefit from.
•    Provide regulatory expertise on all issues for labeling for Teleflex global products, purchased finished goods and supplier produced products. 
•    Provide other departmental support as requested by immediate supervisor.
•    Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex’s Code of Conduct, all Company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standards.
 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    10+ years of working in a medical device labeling design and operations  
•    Strong understand of state-of-the-art labeling systems used in medical device industry
•    Experience in integrating multiple labeling systems and ERP structures. 
•    BS Degree; preferred in a medical related science or engineering
•    Strong medical device technical writing experience 
•    Strong understanding of how ERP and PLM and Labeling software systems interact. 
•    Previous experience working with all aspects of medical device labeling
 

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Strong knowledge and working understanding of GS1 and UDI requirements
•    Good attention to detail and accuracy 
•    Excellent communication skills (specifically when explaining integration and operations of new labeling systems)
•    Ability to work in a team and under deadlines and pressure
•    Skills that enable coordination of data, including MS-Office
