Indicated for the treatment of symptoms of an enlarged prostate up to 100cc in men 45 years or older. As with any medical procedure, individual results may vary. Most common side effects are temporary and include pain or burning with urination, blood in the urine, pelvic pain, urgent need to urinate and/or the inability to control the urge.1 Rare side effects, including bleeding and infection, may lead to a serious outcome and may require intervention. Position Summary

The Clinical Affairs Specialist, Interventional Urology, will be responsible for providing clinical education to surgeons, OR staff, and sales representatives to achieve exceptional clinical outcomes for patients.  This role is an integral member of the Clinical Affairs team and will assist the Clinical Affairs Manager with management and coordination of resident training and education events, peer-to-peer support, and facilitating case coverage.  This position requires OR-based training experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to perform independently at high-levels in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Position is based remote, in the Central US.

Principal Responsibilities

Resident Training and Education

•    Partner with Sr. Clinical Affairs Manager and Clinical Affairs Manager to manage and lead resident training activities
•    Coordinate with resident accounts to set up and lead education events – One or more educational events in assigned accounts per quarter
•    Partner with Urology Consultant, Urology Attending, and/or Resident Program Director at assigned resident programs to track resident training progress and ensure residents are following and completing resident training pathway 
•    Facilitate resident education activities to also include post-training cases and case support to maximize training experience
•    Partner with Sr. Clinical Affairs Manager to create new resident education  resources and expansion of Academic Programs
•    Deliver didactic content developed for resident educational events
•    Perform hands-on simulator, virtual, and anatomical model training
•    Host and coordinate resident webinars, Journal Club, and Grand Rounds (withing resident program guidelines)
•    Create invitations for each resident education event to ensure streamlined communication about event to all involved parties
•    Collaborate with the Sales team to deliver a touch point for customers that enhance business relationships

Case Coverage

•    Cover initial cases as requested by new and tenured physicians, in various sites-of-service
•    May provide supplemental physician case trainings, including New Physician, Advanced Anatomy, Advanced Techniques, and Median Lobe

Additional Responsibilities

•    Provide additional support to Clinical Affairs Manager for peer-to-peer events (dinners, case days, office management), including hosting peer-to-peer meals, managing flow for the program, and determining if administrators or office staff are part of the program
•    Provide advanced training and technique education for physicians to advance physician confidence and independence
•    Partner with Field Trainers to manage and facilitate hands-on clinical training that assist with New Hire Training and other field-based activities 
•    Partner with cross-functional teams as an additional company touch point
•    Participate in clinical breakout sessions during company meetings
•    Present Professional Education and Clinical Urolift information
•    Contribute to our culture of being collaborative, respectful, transparent, ethical, efficient, high-achieving, and fun!
•    Perform other duties as assigned

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree in related field.
•    At least 3-5 years of professional training or OR-based sales experience
•    Strong interpersonal skills and experience training surgeons in an OR setting
•    Urology experience preferred.

•    Must be mobile and willing to travel up to 80%
