Position Summary

The IT Analytics Engineer will develop and support a BI data warehouse implementation on an SAP HANA platform.  Working with a team of Data Analytics Developers and the Data Warehouse Architect, this role will develop, implement, and optimize enterprise-wide ETL (Extract Transform Load) solutions accessing a variety of data sources and software solutions.  The role will leverage SAP’s ETL tools including Data Services, Smart Data Integration (SDI) and SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT).  Additional ETL tools could be leveraged as well.

This role will support development functions to ensure optimal performance and tuning at the database and solution level.  This role also serves as the subject matter expert on ETL technologies.    
Strong communication and analytical skills are a must, as this role will work not only with internal IT teams but with the business as well.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Assist in the active deployment of sustainable, scalable and supportable BI ETL solutions to gather data from disparate sources across Teleflex functions and business units.  
•    Analyze data sizing, performance and scalability of the SAP HANA and MS SQL database providing input for architectural enhancements.
•    Offer high-level ETL services to Data Analytics Developers and assist in data troubleshooting when required. 
•    Ability to assess data needs and provide proof of concepts
•    Translate business requirements into actionable requirements.
•    Provide maintenance support and recommend process improvements
•    Provide knowledge transfer for cross-training amongst BI team. 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    BA or BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or relevant field. Relevant business experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
•    Minimum of 5 years relevant experience working with Business Intelligence ETL tools
•    Experience in SAP/SQL, working with multiple data sources
•    Appreciation of Validation and Compliance requirements for system development and support.
•    Experience working in a validated environment is a plus.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Ability to work under pressure; adhere to deadlines; recognize issues’ urgency and prioritization.
•    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
•    Capable of working in a cross-functional and globally dispersed team environment, with varying levels of experience and skillsets.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Sharp troubleshooting skills to identify and fix issues 
•    Ability to learn new tools quickly.
•    Must have experience testing and documenting own development.  
•    Experience working in FDA regulated environment extremely desirable. 
•    General knowledge about Enterprise Resource planning systems desirable.  SAP ERP knowledge preferred.
