Interventional Urology – NeoTract is dedicated to developing innovative, minimally invasive and clinically effective devices that address unmet needs in the field of urology. Indicated for the treatment of symptoms of an enlarged prostate up to 100cc in men 45 years or older. As with any medical procedure, individual results may vary. Most common side effects are temporary and include pain or burning with urination, blood in the urine, pelvic pain, urgent need to urinate and/or the inability to control the urge.1 Rare side effects, including bleeding and infection, may lead to a serious outcome and may require intervention. Position Summary

The Sr. Health Policy Manager is a highly visible position that will report to the Director, Strategic Health Policy and Payor Relations. This position carries strategic responsibility for the development and execution of tactical strategies to support the Reimbursement Department functional objectives toward creating a favorable reimbursement landscape for NeoTract | Teleflex products, including but not limited to, overall health policy development and coverage criteria initiatives. This position will be required to collaborate with cross-functional teams as directed including the Executive Team, US Sales Team and other commercialization teams to execute the company’s coverage and health policy strategy. It is expected this individual will be/become an expert on coding, coverage and payment as they relate to the UroLift System procedure and have a strong understanding of the same for competitive products. This position is remote and can be based anywhere in the United States.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Strategic & tactical responsibility for developing and executing on coverage and other key reimbursement strategies for current NeoTract products and products in development.
•    Strong understanding of medical device medical policy process and coverage criteria development and/or modification. 
•    Ability to develop and orchestrate product specific presentations to all levels of health policy decision makers.
•    Aptitude to develop and maintain professional relationships with all levels of health policy decision makers and specialty societies to support coverage and other reimbursement initiatives. 
•    Direct interface with all levels of management. 
•    Identify and actualize opportunities to obtain, maintain and/or improve favorable health policy, coverage criteria & potentially payment decisions including but not limited to partnering with health technology assessments (HTA) as needed.
•    Oversee and facilitate research and analyzation of payer policies and reimbursement issues as they relate to NeoTract and competitive products. 
•    Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive tracking reports, reporting dashboards and presentations, as requested.  
•    Cross-functional resource on coverage, coverage criteria, coverage development as well as coding and payment.
•    Collaborate with the Director, Strategic Health Policy and Payor Relations and other select team members, to develop the broader Reimbursement Team’s annual objectives.  
•    Contribute to the NeoTract culture of being collaborative, respectful, transparent, ethical, efficient, high-achieving, and fun!  
•    Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Prior experience with the development of health policy and coverage criteria for products in the medical device space specifically, including having established professional relationships with all levels of health policy decision makers.
•    Bachelor’s degree preferred or indisputable level of equivalent, relevant work experience.
•    Minimum 7 years of experience in medical device health policy coverage development 
•    Minimum 10 years of experience in healthcare reimbursement arena.
•    Prior remote-based employment experience required. Self-starter with ability to work independently with limited direct supervision.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Comprehensive understanding of private and government health policy and coverage development systems, processes and protocols. 
•    Required to create a dedicated home-based working space that allows for minimal interruptions and other disruptions.
•    Prior management experience a plus. 
•    Solid understanding of CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, HCPCS and POS coding.
•    Capable of in-depth analysis and problem resolution.
•    Very high attention to detail.
•    Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
•    Strong knowledge of Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint and outlook.
•    Understanding of HIPPA compliance.
•    Ability and desire to successfully interact with all levels of management and healthcare professionals including medical office staff, physicians, policy analysts, medical directors, HTAs and CMS.
•    Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Private Insurer payment methodologies.
•    Understanding of basic healthcare benefits (deductible, out of pocket, benefit exclusions, etc.).
•    Ability to travel up to 30% of time. Overnight travel and frequent air travel is required.

This position requires prior experience supporting coverage development initiatives. The candidate will possess, excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform independently, at high levels in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
