Position Summary

The individual is overall responsible to assist on logistics coordination, inventory stock discrepancies challenges, 3PL KPI measurement, operations reports, trade compliance, L&D departmental Budget expenses, Quality hold, E&O, scrap and Slow moving and obsolesce inventory management for the department. 
 

Principal Responsibilities

  1. Perform daily inventory reconciliation between SAP and 3PL WMS report to ensure stock accuracy.
  2. Co-ordinate with customer service and demand planners to clear all SAP IDOC transaction issues daily and timely.
  3. Track and trace shipment Estimate Time of Arrival, managing inbound visibility from source post goods issue to actual receipt in PTP warehouse. 
  4. Coordinate shipping paperwork with source and 3PL to ensure timing shipment clearance and delivery to the warehouse. 
  5. Conduct investigation and liaise with 3PL , Demand Planners and source with regards to logistics issues.
  6. Check and arrange scrapping of Obsolescence products are within finance provision reserved.
  7. Close out shipment discrepancies (short/over shipments) based on agreed turnaround time. 
  8. End-to-end administration of virtual transactions in SAP (GR, GI, DN creation, system maintenance). 
  9. Execute Goods Receipt in SAP 
  10. Ensure timely and accurate month end closing documentation submission to Finance.
  11. Execute non-inventory Purchase Order receipt and submit to Finance.
  12. Submission of all tax invoice and shipping documents to Accounts Payable for Invoice receipt.
  13. Coordinate truck booking for shipment transfer from Malaysia source to warehouses.
  14. Monitor Short Shelf Life and quarantine status of inventory on hand and inbound receipt to ensure stock containment.
  15. Perform and reconcile Annual Stock Take Exercise at warehouse premise
  16. Ensure full trade importation and exportation compliance to Malaysia customs and trade regulatory requirement.
  17. Assist, track and monitor monthly L&D operations expenses are within departmental budget.
  18. Initiate operations process and cost saving improvement project – at least 2 projects per year or 3% of operations budget (whichever higher).
  19. Assume any other responsibility as assigned to the individual by the immediate supervisor as part of career development.
     

Education / Experience Requirements

  • Minimum a Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management / Logistics Management (or equivalent) from a  recognized college or institute 
  • At least 4-5 years of Supply Chain Management, inventory  Management or logistics work experience. 
  • Meticulous in daily transactional work and data validation/ tabulation. 
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (eg: pivot table, V-lookups, simple IF function formulas)
  • Experience in managing complex international customs & trade compliance issues
  • Proficient in with ERP systems, with a preference for SAP (focusing on material management and order fulfillment), data processing and report compilation
  • Basic Project management and process improvement skills
  • Exposure to Continuous Improvement skills
  • Experience in end to end WMS (warehouse management system) 
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills (English)
  • Expose to global cross functional teamwork and co-ordination
