Position Summary
The Temporary Logistics & Distribution Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating SEA+ logistics integration activities during the merger period. This includes governing warehouse readiness, inventory migration, documentation alignment, SOP standardization, transportation onboarding, continuous improvement initiatives, and system migration/UAT support. The role ensures smooth operational transition across multiple SEA+ warehouses with no business interruption, while strengthening regional process governance and compliance.
Principal Responsibilities
- Lead the development, review, and standardization of SOPs and Work Instructions to harmonies operational practices between legacy and newly acquired sites.
- Assess warehouse operational readiness, including layout, equipment, compliance, manpower, and training requirements, while leading pre–go-live readiness checks and overseeing on-site transition activities.
- Drive physical and system-based inventory migration processes, covering pre- and post-count activities, reconciliation, variance analysis, and documentation accuracy.
- Map end-to-end transportation flows and standardize SEA+ documentation requirements, ensuring alignment of Commercial Invoice and Packing List templates with regulatory and compliance standards.
- Coordinate the onboarding of carriers, freight forwarders, and transporters, while establishing service-level agreements (SLAs) and contract expectations.
- Support system migration and testing activities for SAP and WMS, ensuring readiness, issue resolution, and alignment with operational requirements.
Education / Experience Requirements
Minimum a Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain Management / Logistics Management (or equivalent) from a recognized college or institute
At least 5-10 years of Supply Chain Management, inventory Management or logistics work experience.
Advanced MS Excel skills (eg: pivot table, V-lookups, simple IF function formulas)
Experience in managing complex international customs & trade compliance issues
Proficient in SAP MM (material management) module, data processing and report compilation
Basic Project management, process innovation and budgeting experiences preferred.
Strong advocate of Continuous Improvement skills
Strong in price negotiation and vendor management
Experience in end-to-end WMS (warehouse management system)
Strong written and verbal communications skills (English)
Expose to global cross functional teamwork and co-ordination
Meticulous in daily transactional work and data validation/ tabulation.
