Position Summary
Lead and coordinate all activities required for the supported Value Stream(s) and other Operations functions to achieve the business plan requirements. Serve as Operations lead for cross-functional teams and proactively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Provides leadership to Operations to ensure manufacturing schedules, staffing, training requirements, quality and cost controls, production standards, continuous improvement activities, and safety programs to meet or exceed production quotas. End to end Value Stream responsibility and accountability.
Principal Responsibilities
Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited) to the following:
• Accountability for key Operations metrics, including but not limited to: Monthly Revenue Targets, Gross Profit, On Time Delivery, and Customer Complaints.
• Owns and drives the Safety, Quality, service, and cost metric for the Value Stream(s) and Operations functions
• Drive continuous improvement across the board and take initiatives to make things better every day
• Lead multi / cross functional project teams to achieve milestones and results
• Lead the Value Stream(s) and Operations functions in setting priorities and focus. Make decisions in priorities in case of conflicts in collaboration with management team
• Proactively organize resources for the Value Stream(s) and Operations functions. Propose changes based on agreed priorities, adequately balancing long-term priorities and short-term priorities
• Manage all performance related matters so that the team achieves the required standards
• Participate in recruitment and selection activities as required
• Plan day-to-day departmental operations, assign tasks to staff, authorizes overtime, and controls costs and product waste.
• Is committed to develop, coach, motivate team and supports development and experiences
• Ensure Quality, Regulatory, and EHS policies and procedures are adhered to always.
• Evaluate and lead improvements to methods and procedures in assigned areas.
• Work with support departments to deliver productivity improvements.
• Capacity Planning - Evaluate forecasted sales volume and impact on capacity availability, acting sufficiently in advance to close any perceived gaps
• Coordinate MN site participation in weekly dialog and information exchange related to balancing the achievement of monthly sales targets, existing customer backlog, supply, and associated resource requirements
• Lead risk reduction efforts for the site end to end supply chain

Education / Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s in relevant discipline required. Focus in Business operations, engineering, physical sciences, or related field, preferred
• Advanced degree in engineering, physical sciences or business, preferred.
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience supporting manufacturing in medical device industry or other highly regulated industry
• Minimum 3+ years of supervisory experience in Operations or Engineering
• Experience supporting multiple locations or facilities preferred
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
• Requires use/knowledge of calipers, micrometers, indicators, wrenches, and multiple other tools to assist operators or help troubleshoot issues. Will also use personal computer and office equipment.
• Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Previous background/knowledge and tactical use of continuous improvement methods is required (Lean, Six Sigma, Shingo Model, etc)
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, and Excel
• Previous experience with ERP/MRP software (SAP preferred)
• Ability to work with a cross-functional team and able to successfully interact with all levels of the organization
• APICS certification preferred
TRAVEL REQUIRED: 0 - 10 %
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $109,300- $164,000 however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
