Position Summary

Responsible for initiating Transfer Orders (TO) for daily shipments, routing TOs and closing all relevant paperwork for each shipment. Daily monitoring of scheduled shipments, coordination of pick-up with selected shipper, noting and alerting responsible parties of inventory discretions, credit holds, special documentation and packaging requirements as dictated by available documentation. This position receives and unpacks materials and supplies. Assist in maintaining production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory and delivering production materials and supplies.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Initiating TOs to begin shipping process
•    Receives and unpacks materials and supplies, distributes accordingly
•    Review paperwork for special requirements or instructions and conduct accordingly
•    Complete shipping reports
•    Print and prepare product and shipment labels as needed
•    Verifies label quantities to actual product and FG displayed in SAP
•    Verifies packaging, labeling, bagging, boxing and shipment are according to required specifications and     applicable work instructions
•    Complete and process all essential paperwork, routers, RFS’s, stickers, etc., according to individual job
•    Schedules pick-ups with UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc as required
•    Order product or supplies as needed
•    Pull materials and prepare shipments for sister facilities
•    Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials in storage locations; recording inventory location in the MRP system
•    Monitors inventory shelf-life and follows first-in first-out (FIFO) principles
•    Identifies process, warehouse layout, and work area improvements 
•    Pull material from storage locations, issue and verify material listed on the production order or material request
•    Physically moves material being issued from storage locations to the production areas
•    Physically moves in-house subassembly builds made for inventory from the production areas to the storage location
•    Responsible for material movement in MRP system with production work orders
•    Support annual inventory processes
•    Perform other duties as assigned

Education / Experience Requirements

•    High School Diploma or GED with 2-4 years of work-related experience required 
•    Excellent math, organizational and computer/data entry skills, detail oriented, and ability to work independently and in a team  
•    Preferred M/S office experience using Word, Excel, Power Point and other types of system databases
•    Experience working with SAP System preferred
•    Fork Lift training required      

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    This position requires the employee to frequently sit, stand, walk, bend and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
•    Basic computer skills and knowledge of current software packages and programs
•    Excellent attention to detail
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well with others
•    Knowledge of business math
•    Knowledge of and ability to use various computer software programs
•    The ability to work overtime, including the weekends as required    
•    Fork lift training required  

 

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $44,000.00 - $61,900.00  however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
