Position Summary


The Human Resources Representative position supports core administrative human resources activities across multiple locations including non-exempt recruitment, time and attendance, leave management, new hire orientations, and basic employee relations in a manufacturing environment. This role is also the first line of contact for employee questions.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Provide full service human resources support for assigned groups across multiple locations. 
•    Establish relationships with supervisors and learn key business issues of assigned groups. Advise employees and supervisors on standard company guidelines and practices.
•    First line of support for employees including basic employee relations needs and employee questions. 
•    Partner with HR leaders to investigate employee complaints/concerns and recommend courses of action consistent with company practices. 
•    Coordinate the flow of employee information and data management through utilization or HRIS systems and by acting as a liaison with shared services.
•    Responsible for gathering and providing scheduled/requested HR metrics. 
•    Manage the staffing process for non-exempt positions by ensuring the best qualified candidate is hired for each opening, consistent assessment processes are applied, and appropriate affirmative action is taken.
•    Coordinate and deliver new hire orientation and new hire activities for contract and full-time employees.
•    Oversee the leave management process as a liaison with employees, managers, and 3rd party vendor.
•    File workers compensation claims and coordinate communications with all parties involved.
•    Support and maintain WorkForce Software timekeeping system through management of timecards, attendance, and payroll approval/submittal for multiple locations.
•    Partner with HR leaders to train new and existing employees on relevant HR subject matter. 
•    Maintain accurate employee records and gather all related documentation and key details.
•    Recommend changes to process, practices, and guidelines. 
•    Stay up to date with HR trends, employment law updates, and compliance requirements. 
•    Participate in HR team or business initiatives and special projects as appropriate. 
•    Other duties as assigned.  
 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Associate Degree Human Resources, Training and Development, Business or related field required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 
•    Previous HR related internship experience preferred. 
•    Knowledge of state and federal labor laws and Human Resource compliance
•    Strong Knowledge in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook.

•    Previous recruitment experience preferred
•    Experience with time management or HRIS systems preferred
