Interventional Urology – NeoTract is dedicated to developing innovative, minimally invasive and clinically effective devices that address unmet needs in the field of urology. As part of the Teleflex Interventional Urology business unit, NeoTract’s focus is on improving the standard of care for patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) using the UroLift® System, a minimally invasive, permanent implant system that treats symptoms while preserving sexual function*1,2. Indicated for the treatment of symptoms of an enlarged prostate up to 100cc in men 45 years or older. As with any medical procedure, individual results may vary. Most common side effects are temporary and include pain or burning with urination, blood in the urine, pelvic pain, urgent need to urinate and/or the inability to control the urge.1 Rare side effects, including bleeding and infection, may lead to a serious outcome and may require intervention. Position Summary

The Pipeline Innovation Team, consisting of cross functional members across the organization, will execute strategies responsibilities to maintain a strong foundation in BPH care while partnering with team to identify and evaluate market opportunities for growth in the urology space. Tactically, the Pipeline Innovation Manager will ensure that the interests of all disciplines within the overall organization are considered as they triage ideas to identify the best opportunities for growth be it organically or by acquisition. The streamlined team will be ideally positioned to make decisions and move quickly while providing leadership, communication, and innovating inspiration to the greater organization.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Lead Clinical Medical Affairs strategic guidance and insight for organic growth and business development
•    Recommend KOL engagement strategy for product or concept evaluations 
•    Research and evaluate clinical claims and data for strategic initiatives to identify potential gaps, competitive threats, and/or opportunities
•    Support market assessment activities to recommend opportunities and innovation trends in the interventional urology space and facilitate a long-term, comprehensive innovation strategy
•    Update and advise management and stakeholders on short- and long-term innovation goals
•    Partner with R&D and Product Marketing to identify iterative device improvements for innovation and patent coverage
•    Partner with R&D and Product Marketing to identify ecosystem product opportunities that support adoption, improve ease-of-use, improve patient/physician experience
•    Recognize strategies to improve patient/physician experience (e.g., bleeding control, fluid management)
•    Reduce surgeon workup burden and improve patient education & procedure pathway
•    Collaborate with Marketing and R&D to identify organic pipeline development opportunities
•    Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development to identify product pipeline growth opportunities that will follow acquisition
•    Think through evidence generation that may enable reimbursement strategies (if need be)
•    Spearhead strategic product responses to competitive threats in partnership with Marketing
•    Report to Marketing, Clinical/Medical, R&D, and other leadership as appropriate on monthly goals and challenges, goals for next month, status of Pipeline Innovation Team regarding progress to meet overall goals
•    Highlight innovation through a period newsletter, call outs, and dissemination of external articles
•    Develop and maintain strong relationships with Teleflex resources

Education / Experience Requirements

•    MD, PhD or MS in biomedical, biomedical engineering or engineering related field or bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience
•    Clinical research within urology a plus
•    Urology clinical practice experience a plus
