Position Summary
Interfacing with medical advisory boards, economic buyers, and clinicians -- particularly emergency medicine physicians, paramedics, EMTs and nurses, including EMS services and fire departments, this EMS Territory Manager sells and promotes the AEM products to grow overall market shares with new and existing customers, generating new business, cold calling, presenting and demonstrating our products to create total customer satisfaction. This position acts as a competent resource to those involved in emergency medical procedures and facilitates improved patient care while increasing clinical value to medical professional as well as to Teleflex Incorporated. Principal Responsibilities
1. Implement sales plan and achieve sales goals and objectives set for the geographic territory. Maintain existing customers and prospect and gain new business.
2. Develop and maintain an in-depth profile of each account to include customer preferences, competitive products and field intelligence, market activity, important contact/decision makers, customer feedback, and attendees in-serviced. Planning effectively to maximize time in the field
3. Facilitate sales growth by conducting medical director, administrator and all levels of pre-hospital care provider training and account in-servicing of core EMS portfolio products.
4. Review current literature for new developments within the healthcare and sales fields including competitive information.
5. Conduct strategic territory management and analysis using PowerBI and territory knowledge to conduct strategic territory management business plans.
6. Assist with the coordination and attendance of Local, Regional, and/or National Scientific Tradeshows and professional meetings to promote products and in-service customers.
7. Demonstrate a high level of proficiency with TFX continuous education program through competency assessment and competitive offerings utilizing the technology tools that are available.
8. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills as well as superb presentation skills.
9. Ensure compliance to Teleflex's Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standards.
Education / Experience Requirements
10. Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 8+ years’ experience of prior medical device sales experience is expected, with a demonstrated track record of success.
11. Operating room, trauma and emergency medicine experience is ideal plus a background succesfully selling disruptive technology and growing market share.
12. Self directed, able to work independently and ability to handle multiple projects concurrently & function in a fast paced, high growth environment.
13. Strong problem solving/analytical skills and effective presentation and interpersonal skills.
14. Excellent organizational skills, strong communicative, problem solving, and interpersonal skills are required.
15. Proficiency with computer technology and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including Iphone and Ipad platforms.
16. Ability to handle difficult conversations/situations along with excellent communication, customer service, and presentation skills
17. Clinically knowledgeable – with a history of utilizing basic A&P as a major part of driving a sale forward
18. Strong understanding and grasp of market analysis, planning, development and management.
19. Excellent time management, communications, decision-making, presentation, and organizational skills.
20. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
21. Full clean driving license
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
22. Carry detail bag weighing up to 20 lbs, and lift equipment weighing up to 30 lbs
23. Stand or walk in or at meetings for 6 -- 10 hours per day, up to five (5) days per week
