Position Summary

This individual will be responsible for leading daily activities in the lab. They may generate daily reports to communicate priorities and inspection queue. They will perform systematic transactions to ensure product is pulled for the lab, released, returned to stock, and available for orders. They will perform visual, functional, and dimensional inspections and, as a Subject Matter Expert, support teammates in completion of inspections. They will report nonconforming product to the applicable personnel to ensure product is controlled. 

Principal Responsibilities

•    Act as Subject Matter Expert of visual, functional, and/or dimensional testing 
•    Complete special projects as assigned by direct supervisor
•    Run daily reports to determine inspection priorities
•    Perform systematic transactions to ensure products are available
•    Handle pulling and returning samples for inspection
•    Communicate with internal and external parties to ensure completion of inspections
•    Generate and report lab metrics and reports
•    Provide support and collaborate with various departments and Business units
•    Complete inspections and testing of products as needed
 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    High School Diploma / Associate’s degree preferred
•    3-5 Years related experience in Medical Device Industry
•    ASQ CQT preferred
•    Forklift certified
 

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Use various measurement equipment/devices (Caliper, Micrometer, Scale, Comparator, VMM, Instron)
•    Ability to operate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
•    Basic computer skills with MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook experience
•    SAP knowledge and understanding of distribution processes
•    Ability to multi-task and work within deadlines
•    Ability to read blueprints and knowledgeable of GD&T
•    Strong communication and organizational skills
•    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
•    Ability to read and interpret Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
