Position Summary

The Production Planning Supervisor is responsible for providing the NADC operations team with a plan to meet all customer and Global Supply Chain priorities & expectations efficiently and on time. Furthermore, this supervisor is also responsible for ensuring that the operation operates according to established plans and processes to assure integrity in operational performance (e.g. “plan to win and win the plan”). This requires leveraging the broader Production Planning and others to create detailed plans, processes, and data reporting necessary for the management team to deliver actionable insights back to the other operational leaders for follow-on problem-solving and process improvement. Naturally, this supervisor must maintain close and effective relationships with key stakeholders such as the NADC Quality Department, Enterprise Excellence, Customer Service/Order Management, and Global Supply Chain Planning. 

Principal Responsibilities

•    Supervise the Planning and Production Control team, whose duties include:
o    Shipping & Receiving liaison to planning and customer service to align to supply chain & customer priorities. 
o    Lead wave planners and set the daily work release schedule on prioritization/flow optimization goals.
o    Generate daily operational plan according to anticipated volume, labor, and priorities and leverage wave planning team and applicable ops coordinators to ensure distribution/release of work aligns to the generated ops plan.
o    Work with operations supervisors to generate daily team expectations and track performance for both team and individual production levels.
o    Lead traffic team in overseeing efficient order closure and departure via designated shipping routes.
o    Coordinate with logistics team, operations supervisors and traffic teams flow of carrier traffic to and from NADC loading docks.
o    Monitor shipping team performance through KPI tracking and publish daily, weekly.
o    Make recommendations regarding opportunities to improve service level and efficiency performance.
o    Oversee the development and organization of functional user training (UAT)
o    Resolve iDoc errors between Blue Yonder WMS and SAP ERP
o    Indirect supply ordering, storage and distribution
o    Ops Production reporting throughout the NADC and outside the NADC (L&D weekly, Month End, Qtr End reports, etc.)
•    Analyze production and quality data versus production plans to generate insights and lines of action for follow-up.
•    Responsible for development of direct reports

Education / Experience Requirements

•    4 – 5 years of data analysis preferred.
•    3+ years experience in an operations, manufacturing, engineering, or distribution environment.    
•    3+ years experience with SAP or other ERP/WMS systems. 
•    Project management experience or PMP Certification preferred.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Strong knowledge and experience applying Disciplined Project Management tools & methods
•    Skills in Project Management tools; i.e. MS Project, Planview, Smartsheets is a plus.
•    Expertise in implementing and supporting large-scale warehouse technology solutions is a plus.
•    In-depth knowledge of WMS, WCS, and MHE system capabilities is a plus.
•    Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Access, Visio, and PowerPoint.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Effective verbal and written communication skills. This includes both comfort establishing rapport with associates to engage their support and inclusion as well as maintaining confident and effective executive presence.
•    Team player with good interpersonal skills.
•    Self-motivated, high energy, collaborative that can independently drive for timely completion of goals.
•    Able to travel domestically and internationally.
•    Work in a matrixed organization across international regions
