Position Summary

The Learning & Development Coordinator will develop and implement learning strategies and programs to support the North America Distribution Center (NADC). This person will also facilitate and conduct the program to support our associates career development.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Assist in training curriculum development
•    Create and execute learning strategies and programs
•    Evaluate individual and organizational development needs
•    Implement various learning methods (e.g. coaching, job-shadowing, online training)
•    Design and deliver e-learning courses, workshops and other trainings
•    Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities
•    Help managers develop their team members through career development planning
•    Assist in data entry, database management, database maintenance, and record keeping of training database and employee records.
•    Certify OTJ trainers according to the Training Within Industry (TWI) Job Instruction methods and Teleflex standard certification procedures
•    Coach, mentor, and assist OTJ trainers in preparing for OTJ training including developing training standards (Job Instruction Breakdowns)
•    Coach and mentor OTJ trainers in effective training delivery according to the TWI Job Instruction 4-Step method and other training delivery techniques
•    Assist with selection of and periodic assessment of OTJ trainers 
•    Serve as site owner and subject matter expert in OTJ training methods, deployment, and processes including sustaining and improvement practices
•    Complete the registration process for all training attendees and maintain accurate registration records, conform classes and assist in forecasting attendance for future classes.
•    Maintain an inventory control mechanism for all training media, including hard copy materials, electronic media, e-learning media, training samples, and reorder or reproduce as needed to maintain a safe stocking level.
•    Compiles and prepares training program support materials such as Training instructions, manuals, handouts, electronic media, name tents, attendance lists.
•    Conduct and create simulation and classroom training and procedures.
•    Setup, evaluate, align and coordinate existing and new job code profiles.
•    Partner with Operation on evaluate and aligning NADC training procedures and work instructions to job codes.  
•    Assists in accurate data entry of training surveys, evaluations, assessments, and metrics into an acceptable electronic format and produce summary reprots as requested.
•    Assist in the audit of all training records and procedures to verify completion of training requirements.
•    Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex’Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules, procedures, Safety and housekeeping standards.
•    Support New Hire Orientation and Onboarding.
•    Backup and support audit team.
•    Other assigned duties.
 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent of 5 years of relevant distribution center or professional teaching experience.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Curriculum Development Preferred
•    SAP a plus
•    Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
•    Knowledge of training software
•    Excellent Verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills
•    Strong interpersonal connection (i.e. respect, care and concern, patience, emotional intelligence)
•    Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of personalities, backgrounds, and experience levels
•    Self-motivated with an ability to work collaboratively and acquire new knowledge and skills
•    Presentation, coaching, and mentoring skills
