Position Summary

Provide support to frontline Operations teams by championing the flow issues & opportunities from identification to effective solution & implementation through data gathering, analysis, problem solving, innovation, project management & training.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Lead the Business Process sub-stream under the Operations Excellence team to ensure all processes related to distribution center customer value streams are effective and efficient.
•    Develop and sustain site-level operations and/or ad-hoc project KPIs/reports as required.
•    Monitor all relevant KPIs and provide trend analysis and improvement opportunity recommendations.
•    Help identify, prioritize, and execute complex projects using common project management tools to increase efficiencies and accuracy of processes as well as reduce waste/damages.
•    Scope and value the identified opportunities via mapping and measuring processes and establishing metrics and visualizations where required. 
•    Understand and apply lean tools and techniques as required. 
•    Help the Enterprise Excellence team coach and mentor associates in lean methodologies to promote their engagement and ownership in problem solving & process improvement activities. 
•    Identify process improvement/cost savings opportunities outside of the DC that impacts the DC and influence the applicable function and/or BU to act and partner with them on that action.
•    Contribute to DC strategy relative to CI based on the site’s vision, trend analysis, capacity modeling, etc. 
•    Partner with the organizations Enterprise Excellence team to align to the Integrated Lean Management System approach.
•    Support the Operations Execution teams in problem solving and improvement activities as required.
•    Lead the site in the development, monitoring, and maintenance of standard process cycle times and assessing the operation’s productivity performance to those standards in order to quantify opportunities and improvements in service level, capacity, and cost.    
•    Commit to the Teleflex core values and leadership principles in applying our CARE principles (Connect Personally, Anticipate Needs, Respond Quickly, and Exceed Expectations) to our delivery systems of people, processes and practices (standard work and problem solving).
•    Provide a steady awareness of industry trends in processes and technology in order to help identify new opportunities for Teleflex to provide a best in class logistics and distribution experience. 
•    Perform other duties as assigned.
•    Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex’s Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules, procedure, and housekeeping standards.

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Required: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, logistics, operations management or related field (or equivalent relevant experience).

•    Preferred: Six sigma and/or Lean certifications (or equivalent relevant experience)

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    5 years’ experience with project management, lean deployment, standard process development, procedure writing, mentoring, training groups of employees, and implementing “go see” principles on the manufacturing/distribution floor.
•    3 years’ experience in an operations, manufacturing, engineering, or distribution environment. 
•    3 years’ experience implementing change or continuous improvement.
•    3 years’ experience with SAP or other ERP/WMS systems. 
•    3 years’ experience with integrated business processes for critical functional areas to include operations/manufacturing, supply chain, quality/regulatory, and/or sales. 

•    ISO 9001 certification experience.
•    Medical device industry (ISO 13485) experience. 


•    Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results across a multi-shift operation.
•    Leading change through influence, earning credibility, and executing deliverables.
•    Executive presence as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
•    Comfort establishing rapport with associates to engage their support and inclusion.
•    Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with varying business impact.
•    Ability to work independently and influence associates in a variety of roles and levels, with and without direct authority.
•    Ability to lead cross-functional projects with geographically diverse teams.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
•    Knowledge of business process strategy.
