Position Summary
The Operations Supervisor Intern will gain hands-on experience in warehouse leadership and daily operations. This internship provides exposure to workflow management, people leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives. While guided by experienced supervisors, the intern will also contribute to real projects and daily responsibilities that support operational success.
Principal Responsibilities
-Assist supervisors with daily floor activities including labor allocation, workflow monitoring, and team communications.
- Shadow leaders during coaching, performance discussions, and operational decision-making.
- Learn to track and analyze key performance indicators (accuracy, productivity, safety).
- Participate in problem-solving for operational exceptions and escalate issues under guidance.
- Support Lean/5S and process improvement projects.
- Complete a defined capstone project and present recommendations at the conclusion of the internship.
Education / Experience Requirements
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Interest in leadership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP/WMS systems a plus.
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
- Exposure to real-time decision making in operations.
- Hands-on learning in leadership, labor planning, and workflow management.
- Participation in improvement projects with measurable impact.
- Strong teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
