Position Summary
Own outbound flow in Blue Yonder WMS. Plan, release, and control waves. Research and resolve wave issues. Resolve SAP–Blue Yonder IDoc issues that block order creation, allocation, or shipping. Build reporting that shows performance and risk. Analyze root causes and drive fixes that raise throughput, accuracy, and service.

Principal Responsibilities
• Wave Planning
• Build and release outbound waves in Blue Yonder using approved templates, rule sets, and order filters.
• Sequence waves against carrier cutoff times, order priority, labor capacity, and SLA commitments.
• Monitor wave status through allocation, task generation, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Research and clear allocation failures, rule conflicts, missing inventory, location locks, and task generation errors.
• Run re-waves, recalls, partial releases, and priority pulls to protect service.
• Trigger or request replenishment when allocation stalls due to inventory shortfalls.
• Maintain clean queues. Close or rework aged or failed waves before cutoff.
• Keep leadership current on wave risks with clear actions and owners.
• IDoc and Integration
• Monitor and resolve SAP–BY IDoc breaks that impact order creation, updates, or inventory sync.
• Research failed or stuck IDocs. Correct data and reprocess to restore flow.
• Use SAP transactions such as WE02, WE05, BD87, WE09ZSC_R381 and WE19 to analyze and reprocess when needed.
• Report master data issues to Inventory Control and monitor for issues that drive repeats. Examples include UOM mismatches, item, partner, or plant settings.
• Validate order status alignment between SAP and BY after reprocessing.
• Document recurring failure patterns and drive permanent fixes with IT and master data teams.
• Wave Issue Research and Resolution
• Use BY dashboards, logs, and exception codes to find root causes fast.
• Diagnose inventory problems. Examples include short picks, wrong pack or UOM, LP status errors, holds, and pending QA.
• Coordinate slotting or temporary moves when location constraints block allocation.
• Align release strategy with real labor and dock capacity to prevent bottlenecks.
• Keep a clear playbook for the top 10 failure types with step-by-step actions.
• Reporting
• Build daily and weekly reporting for wave throughput, backlog, allocation success, pick completion, ship compliance, and re-wave rate.
• Publish simple, accurate performance decks for leadership. State risks and actions without fluff.
• Maintain metric definitions and refresh schedules. No stale reports.
• Automate recurring reports in Excel with formulas, pivot tables, and Power Query where available.
• Operational Analysis
• Analyze order mix, carton profile, zone load, and labor plans to improve wave strategy.
• Quantify impact of constraints. Examples include carrier cap, dock doors, put walls, and value-add services.
• Propose rule changes that raise allocation success and reduce touches.
• Build business cases with data. Size benefits, list risks, and define the test plan.
• Partner on BY and SAP changes, regression tests, and cutovers. Protect shipping during transitions.

• On-time wave release by cutoff.
• Allocation success rate.
• Pick completion to plan.
• Ship compliance to carrier cutoff.
• Re-wave rate and causes.
• IDoc failure rate, mean time to resolve, repeat rate.
• Aged wave count and hours.
• Lines per labor hour and cost per order, where available.
Education / Experience Requirements
• 2 or more years of experience in a distribution center, in a planning environment
• Blue Yonder WMS outbound experience preferred
• Advanced Excel skills. Pivot tables, lookups, nested formulas, and data cleansing
• Previous working knowledge with SAP and BY WMS

• Strong system troubleshooting. Fast pattern recognition
• Clear, direct communication with Operations and IT
• Tight attention to detail under cutoff pressure.
• Structured problem solving and documentation.
• On-site role in the distribution center.
• Support peak, end-of-month, and quarter-close shipping as required.
• Blue Yonder WMS, outbound control screens, wave templates, and exception dashboards.
• SAP/ECC4 or S/4HANA for order, delivery, and iDoc processing.
