Position Summary

Perform inspection and test activities associated with the acceptance and release of components, sub-assemblies and finished devices governed by Standard Operating Procedures and/or Drawings.  Also perform functional and dimensional evaluations for various groups within Teleflex LLC and deliver documented results (for protocols, test request, etc.). This individual will have responsibility for recording data, notifying key personnel about non-conformances and reporting findings to Quality, Engineering, Supplier Management and Manufacturing representatives as necessary.

 

Principal Responsibilities

  • In-process testing of devices (post manufacturing, post sterilization, etc.)
  • Functional and/or dimensional testing of prototype instruments for product development
  • Visual, functional, and/or dimensional testing relating to validations and/or the test request system
  • Complete special projects as assigned by direct supervisor
  • Perform departmental forklift duties

Education / Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma / Associates degree preferred
  • 3-5 Years related experience in Medical Device Industry
  • ASQ CQT preferred
  • Forklift certified

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

  • Use various measurement equipment/devices (Caliper, Micrometer, Scale, Comparator, VMM, Instron)
  • Ability to operate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Basic computer skills with MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook experience
  • SAP knowledge and understanding of distribution processes
  • Ability to multi-task and work within deadlines
  • Ability to read blueprints and knowledgeable of GD&T
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
  • Ability to read and interpret Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
