Position Summary

Reporting to the Global Supplier Quality Manager-PFG & Global Projects, the Regional Manager Supplier Quality (PFG), will be responsible for the management of a team of Supplier quality engineers in the shared services facilities of Athlone and Morrisville to ensure the evaluation, management, and control of PFG supplier in accordance with the procedures and the ensure that the records supporting these activities are maintained.


Principal Responsibilities

•    Lead and develop a team of Supplier Quality Engineers across the Global Supplier Quality organistaion (Athlone and Morrisville) identifying and prioritizing activities related to PFG supplier controls as defined within the global procedures and work instructions.
•    Maintain records in an audit ready state for review and presentation to external body auditors. 
•    Support internal customers and external suppliers in relation to supplier quality issues; provide technical support for activities related to supplier quality system assessment and supplier performance evaluation and supplier risk mitigation for specifically identified suppliers.
•    Collaborate with the stakeholders such as Global Procurement, Regulatory Affairs and Global Supplier Quality leadership to identify opportunities and threats associated with PFG suppliers and develop actions plans based on items identified.
•    Serve as a subject matter expert in Supplier quality Purchasing Controls 
•    Perform supplier facility compliance audits as required.
•    Assist in the investigation of non-conformances and CAPA as required
•    Represent supplier quality on core design (PFG) and other changes as it pertains to PFG suppliers.
•    Develop strong partnering relationships with Global Procurement, Supply Chain, QA/RA, Design, and Manufacturing groups.
•    Collaborate with other supplier quality teams to maintain compliance of all supplier files. 
•    Provide timely and effective communications and necessary escalations to supplier quality leadership as it pertains to supplier controls and as defined in the quality management system.
•    Attract, develop, and mentor diverse talent in Supplier Quality and Development organization.
•    Support developing, implementing, and executing proactive supplier risk profiling to identify and eliminate potential supply risks.
•    Support the improvement of the standard global supplier management processes, procedures and tools.
•    Actively engage with leadership team in making continuous improvements to processes/procedures.
•    Support further development of Key Performance Indicators for the Supplier Quality and Development Team. Evaluate current state. Define goals (KPI targets) to achieve and track the progress. 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor’s Degree in a Scientific or Engineering discipline
•    ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred
•    Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier quality or purchasing controls
•    Knowledge of ISO/FDA/MDR and other based quality systems
•    Experience of MDSAP auditing model for Medical Devices 
•    Knowledge of core quality tools 
•    Auditor accreditation for system and process
•    Proficient in English language, oral and written, and preferably in other language(s) used in geographic area of responsibility.
•    People management experience.
