Position Summary

Technical Assistant supports the Global R&D team with administrative and technical tasks. As a Technical Assistant, you will be required to perform basic administrative tasks including filing, composing emails, printing documents, scheduling meetings, answering phones, documenting meeting minutes, and creating reports. You will also be required to provide basic technical assistance on projects such as data entry, creating and revising process documents, analyzing data from portfolio management systems and interfacing with other enterprise systems. To ensure success as a Technical Assistant, you should have high-level administrative skills, technical training, be self-motivated, professional, and capable of managing work load and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced corporate environment. Principal Responsibilities

  • Coordinate executive communications, including taking calls, responding to emails and interfacing with team members across the organization
  • Prepare internal documents for team members
  • Schedule and participate in meetings for technical projects and document meeting minutes as requested
  • Follow-up with team members across the organization to ensure timely and complete data entry into the portfolio management system
  • Provide technical support and/or training to team members to facilitate data entry and ongoing maintenance of data in the portfolio management system
  • Create and run reports from the portfolio management system and analyze data for accuracy, completeness, trends, etc
  • Develop and maintain accurate process documents to describe business processes utilized by the Global R&D team
  • Arrange events and meetings as required
  • Maintain and manage an organized system for electronic documents
  • Uphold a strict level of confidentiality
  • Develop and sustain a level of professionalism with team members at all levels of the organization

Education / Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Administration - preferred
  • 2+ years professional experience as Technical Assistant
  • Advanced knowledge of Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Strong ability to multi-task
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to learn other software systems as required
  • Open to learn other activities within the organization as required
