Position Summary

This position is part of the Surgical program management team and is responsible for the project coordination of 
sustaining initiatives, lifecycle management projects, cost improvement, compliance and regulatory programs through a methodical approach of planning and supporting the overarching sustaining portfolio and projects as needed. The Coordinator must demonstrate process ownership and facilitate required steps through the Teleflex Sustaining Process. Key process requirements are inclusive of, but not limited to setting up and leading portfolio and project meetings, collecting accurate data in support of Business Unit and Corporate presentations, and engaging with R&D leads as well as other team members to enable effective and efficient project execution.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Monitor and collect sustaining project requests for the Surgical portfolio (intake process).
•    Prepare, organize, and schedule regularly recurring intake and portfolio review meeting in support of R&D list of sustaining activity and prioritization.
•    Maintain and communicate meeting minutes and action items associated with each review.
•    Support and coordinate data collection and/or metrics for any report-outs where Sustaining R&D inputs are required.
•    Ensure updates are provided on-time to the Teleflex-wide Sustaining Portfolio, including the collection of monthly project updates from R&D managers or project leads.
•    Complete required sections of sustaining project intake forms and provide timely responses to the initial requestor. Support completion of sections post requestor response.
•    Support coordination and recurring meetings with shared service groups required for project completion.
•    Own and support updates to PWA/ Planview (Portfolio Management Tool) regarding project activities and as outlined by processes/procedures.
•    Assist technical staff and project leaders with preparation, analysis and formatting/presentation of data required for cross-functional review. Data sets may include project dashboards, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) scorecards, project gating, product labeling, vendor information, cost information, technical data, quality data, sales volumes, etc.
•    Request, collect and organize project and technical information from various Teleflex functional teams, such as operations, finance, marketing, quality, engineering, regulatory.
•    Create and/or update project charters and project information in coordination with the assigned project leader and/or requestor. 
•    Provide various project-level support for the R&D department projects, such as Business Gating materials, project software and dashboard updates, project documentation, technical reviews, and meeting minutes.
•    Document, organize and present meeting event results and action items. Assist in coordination of follow-up reviews of the results with the various cross functional teams. 
•    Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex’s Code of Ethics and all company policies and procedures.
•    Prioritize, track and communicate change management workflow statuses and approvals. Work with approvers to expedite the process.
•    Execute DMR database searches and provide report for “component where used”, “where sold” and other information needed to scope and execute projects.
•    Execute sterilization, packaging and biocompatibility assessments collaborating with shared function subject matter experts.
 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Associates or bachelor's degree preferred; Technical or engineering-related field preferred.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Experience with data systems required
•    Experience within healthcare products, medical device or pharmaceutical company preferred
•    Advanced proficiency in MS Office Tools and other software programs
•    Strong organizational and analytical skills
•    Clear verbal and written communication, ability to work cross-functionally with a variety of audiences (personal and soft skills are critical and required)
•    Willingness and ability to learn new processes and support implementation and execution
•    Internally driven and constantly looking for ways to further support and provide benefits to the organization
