Position Summary

*** This position can be based remotely! ***

This role will design, develop, and deliver training for Global Strategic R&D to audiences ranging from team members to leadership teams. Training topics will include Teleflex’s new product development processes, business processes for portfolio and project management, and critical skills needed for new product development excellence. 

The trainer is responsible to use the best-in-class means of training delivery including adaptive e-learning, assessments, live instructor-led training (both in-person and virtual), and 1:1 coaching with new product development team members as needed. Training audiences will range from leadership team members to project core team members. 

The trainer will partner closely with the training manager, subject matter experts, and/or external consultants to ensure the training curriculum and materials adequately prepare new product development team members for high-quality project execution. 

The trainer will be responsible for creating training content, scheduling trainings, ensuring all new training materials are completed on time and within established budgets. 

Live trainings may be conducted in Morrisville, NC, Wyomissing, PA,  Maple Grove, MN, Pleasanton, CA and other travel may be required for training events. 

This role may be office-based or remote.  

Principal Responsibilities

•    Design, develop, and deliver training for new product development processes and topics
•    Continually evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and materials 
•    Manage, track, and report training statistics 
•    Become a subject matter expert on Teleflex’s New Product Development processes and provide coaching to process users as needed
•    Provide training to new hires as needed
•    Partner with Global Strategic R&D (GSRD) team members to support new GSRD initiatives 
•    Demonstrate a commitment to continued new product development excellence 
•    Contribution to change management and communication planning activities

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree 
•    Minimum of 5+ years of training experience in a medical device environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience 

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Strong interpersonal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills 
•    Knowledge of the medical device industry and new product development preferred
•    Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including ability to create PowerPoint training presentations 
•    Knowledge of adult learning principles, innovative training approaches, and instructional design 
•    Organizational planning skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
•    Change management experience and communication planning preferred
•    Strong attention to detail 
•    Critical thinking skills
