Position Summary

This high-level SAP position within the Teleflex Global Applications team is responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership for the technical design, build, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) solution. The Back-End Developer develops quality software that meets the functional and non-functional project requirements in the implementation, enhancement, and support of the e-commerce platform. This position also provides technical leadership by leading others in meeting key strategic objectives and initiatives. 

Principal Responsibilities

•    Serve as the SAP Commerce (Hybris) Back Office technical development Lead for all e-commerce solutions.
•    Serve as the SME on the back-end development team with an understanding of the platform storefront development.
•    Lead and participate in the technical design, development, and deployment of SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) to support business initiatives. This includes architecting, designing, and building the technical solution as well as the customization, extension, and implementation of integration with third-party software products.
•    Customize the platform’s storefront accelerator to build fully functioning e-commerce sites.
•    Develop detailed system design documents to support system requirements and comply with quality standards.
•    Conduct technical SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) design reviews with Commerce team members.
•    Create and manage technical design documentation. 
•    Lead, evaluate, develop, test, and implement the release of system changes according to quality procedures.
•    Track, monitor, review, and report on planned task status where appropriate.
•    Manage technical integration points such as customer data, product data, pricing, and CMS systems.
•    Recognize, analyze, and solve system or applications problems as they are encountered. 
•    Provide technical SAP Commerce Cloud leadership in projects and rollouts of the application.
•    Manage deployments and manage codebase according to sprint/deployment structure.
•    Consistently deliver high-quality service and solutions that meet business requirements and ensure goals are accomplished in line with business objectives.
•    Share ideas, information, knowledge, and data proactively to accomplish collaboration for the success of the team, project, or task.
•    Provide technical leadership, guidance, and education to other team members and service providers.

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree. Experience with SAP Commerce Cloud on Public Cloud may be considered in lieu of degree.
•    At least  5 years of progressive application development and integration experience, supporting medium to larger-sized UX applications.
•     2+ years of experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris).
•     2+ years of experience with cloud-native application deployment.
•    Strong experience in building a Commerce solution integrated with ERP solutions (SAP preferred).
•    Participation in multiple SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) implementations required.
•    Ability to solve complex technical challenges and technical blocks for the development team.
•    Must have experience with Commerce Cloud product and data modeling.
•    Experience working with ImpEx scripts to integrate Commerce Cloud with SAP and non-SAP systems is a plus.
•    Experience with all aspects of system implementation including, but not limited to, designing the future. state solution, supporting testing, implementing and providing post-go-live support.
•    Good knowledge of Order Management Service APIs.
•    Experience in an FDA-regulated environment preferred.
•    Experience with eCommerce implementation using agile methodology.
•    Working knowledge of SAP CPI Integration Platform is a plus.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris).
•    Java, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring JDBC, Spring Web Services.
•    Java Persistence Frameworks.
•    REST/API Services.
•    Experience with JRebel is a plus.
•    Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint. 
•    Experience working with Issue and Project tracking software, Jira preferred.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
•    Proven ability to think strategically and to be creative in task completion.
•    Proven ability to work globally and cross-functionally to ensure integrated solutions are developed.
•    Demonstrated ability to work independently to manage multiple concurrent tasks and responsibilities while dealing with changing priorities.
•    Ability to work in a virtual environment.
