Position Summary

The Sales Training Manager is responsible for developing the strategy, training processes, and appropriate training content to meet the business goals and to enhance sales force effectiveness. As an integral part of the Vascular business unit, this person will work in partnership with the product managers, sales leadership, and Training Team peers to ensure optimal Sales/Clinical Manager communications and skill development.  In addition, this position should use marketing tactics and associated projects in support of the Vascular business unit's strategic goals and objectives.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Manage training programs with focus on sales management development
•    Define, deliver, and oversee product and procedural competency assessments for field, clinical, and manager roles (Seen As Experts)
•    Collaborate closely with Clnical Medical Affairs (CMA), Marketing, and Sales Leadership on programs and content delivery
•    Oversee Field Sales Trainer (FST) and Field Clinical Trainer (FCT) team needs- including support of New Hire Training field rides, national meetings and other training needs that require FST/FCT support
•    Develop FST and FCT individual growth and enablement opportunties throughout the year
•    Work with the Marketing team to develop training support for campaigns, while in parallel, working with in-house training peers to incorporate new content into New Hire Training (NHT)
•    Ongoing sales training, in collaboration with marketing, on competitive activity and defense tactics
•    oversee development and delivery of Advance Sales Training (AST) program
•    Prepare training materials, including audio-visual materials, e-learning tools, and hand-outs
•    Collaborate with training peers to develop metrics to assess and drive improvement for all training programs in addition to administration of assessments to evaluate student knowledge and performance
•    Research and review medical articles and studies, general sales training materials, and market information to evaluate suitability and update training programs
•    Keep abreast of all training trends and techniques for developing leaders and improving sales skills
•    Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex's Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards
•    Aork with MarCom to ensure messaging and training materials are approved
•    Ensure the balanced seller sales process is implemented across training, and that reps exhibit defined proficiency
•    Organize and store all relevant training materials in SharePoint/LMS

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree
•    Teleflex Vascular product sales (or comparable portfolio) for at least 2 years (required)
•    3-5 years of Medical device sales experience (required)
•    Sales training certification and/or other training experience (preferred)
•    Field training experience (preferred)
•    Management experience (preferred)
 

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    The position is located in the Morrisville office; this position is not remote. Candidate must live in or relocate to the Raleigh/Durham area.
•    Field rides with a sales and clinical management is a minimum requirement.
•    Ability to pivot when the business needs require it
•    Desire to align with a culture of collaboration and work towards a common goal
•    Strong public speaking, written communication skills, and organization/project management skills is required.
