Position Summary

As Project Manager you will have responsibility for overseeing all projects relating to the Teleflex EPPM system – Planview. The role will involve scoping of requirements with relevant business partners, leading the coordination and completion of system upgrades and enhancements to agreed timelines. You will be required to liaise with PMO leads from around the organization to ensure business needs are met and you will need to demonstrate problem solving ability to identify satisfactory outcomes for business partners and system users. You will be required to demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining and implementing solutions. The role will require interaction with senior leadership and ongoing engagement with key project/system stakeholders. You will be required to lead and direct the work of team members and exercise a wide degree of creativity and latitude to address and resolve project/system issues.

Principal Responsibilities

Become the Teleflex SME for Planview, the enterprise project portfolio management (EPPM) solution for Teleflex.
Develop expert knowledge of system configuration and capability
Manage the ongoing implementation and enhancement of the Planview system
Ensure ongoing system upgrades in line with vendor software releases and coordination of all related UAT activities
Full project life cycle ownership for system upgrades and specific implementations across the business
Collaborate with Teleflex PMO/BU/functional leads and project team members to ensure that the EPPM solution is configured by the vendor to support Teleflex’s project and business processes
Work with PMO Business Partners to define project requirements and agree roll out milestones and delivery plan
Understand interdependencies between various projects, operations and business needs
Manage system change requests, working with requestors to understand needs, and assess impact to the system and existing business processes
Facilitate change control committee to ensure changes are clearly communicated and approved
Develop reports and dashboards for projects and programs using Planview reporting and Power BI integrations
Partner with Teleflex IT / Help Desk for ongoing system administration and oversight including user onboarding, system performance tracking, security updates, and enhancement request management
Investigate solution issues, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective measures
Ongoing development, documentation and dissemination of EPPM processes communicated through user forums
Provide leadership to Planview Analyst / Administration team 
Delegation of tasks and responsibilities to appropriate team members
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project and administration teams
Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication
Responsible for the gathering of key lessons learned and sharing these to build on project execution knowledge in the organization
Participate in the Teleflex Project Manager Community of Practice to contribute to establishing best practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature project management capabilities for the organization

Education / Experience Requirements

Bachelor (or equivalent) degree in a business, engineering, information systems discipline
5 years minimum related experience with a Bachelors degree 
PM qualification required - Project Management Professional (PMP) Preferred
Demonstrated aptitude with general technology and business process analysis required

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

Experience with all project admin, PMO documentation, reporting structure and requirements. 
Knowledge in the administration of EPPM tools desired (Planview experience a significant benefit)
Technology implementation project experience desired 
Excellent knowledge of project management disciplines and project team dynamics
Demonstrated ability to influence others to desired outcomes.
Uses professional concepts to resolve issues with medium complexity in effective ways.
Strong change management skills and ability to implement change 
Ability to accurately scope projects and consider the full impact of decisions and actions taken
Strong facilitation skills across multiple business disciplines, organization levels and locations
Proven exceptional written and oral presentation skills, particularly at leadership levels
Strong knowledge and skills in MS Office
Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills
Ability to multi-task independently with minimal supervision in a virtual global team
Experience communicating to a variety of audiences
Ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve the objectives of the project.
Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
