Vascular Access – Built on a history of innovation, our Arrow® brand of technically advanced vascular access devices are renowned throughout the world. Position Summary

The President and General Manager of the Vascular Business Unit is responsible for providing strategic leadership by working with executive leaders, internal partners and stakeholders to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies. The President and General Manager maintains overall financial responsibility and drives results throughout the Vascular business to achieve growth targets.  This role formulates overall operating and strategic plans, business objectives and ensures the effective implementation and execution of strategic plans to achieve both long-term and short-range objectives.  

Principal Responsibilities

•    Formulate and implement business plans and strategies for profitable operations, to meet short-term objectives, and to ensure long-term growth and success.  
•    Manage the Vascular business P&L against set corporate and group targets and parameters.
•    Collaborate with functional partners including Clinical Medical Affairs, Finance, Business Development, Global Operations, Global RAQA, HR and Distribution to ensure regulatory compliance and service to customers. 
•    Demonstrate courageous leadership to engage and encourage employees to maximize discretionary effort and to support a positive culture.  
•    Establish and maintain an effective organizational structure to ensure development and continuity of managerial and specialized skills necessary to accomplish objectives and achieve results.  Recommend changes in the organizational structure to meet evolving business demands.
•    Ensure appropriate training and development opportunities are available to the Vascular Leadership team and create a culture of development for the broader Vascular Business.  
•    Hold the Vascular Leadership Team to high-performance standards to ensure an effective, productive work environment.
•    Drive continuous improvement and aligned objectives in all areas of the commercial business (Sales, Marketing, R&D, Regulatory, financial performance and culture).
•    Work with the Business Development team to identify strong merger and acquisitions opportunities that align with the broader Teleflex strategic growth model.
•    Prepare, manage and maintain annual budget.
•    Develop ongoing strategic plan (3 – 5 year horizon)
•    Adhere to and ensure the compliance of the Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standards.

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred
•    15 years in Medical Device field with a clear career progression of increased responsibility with experience in a commercial function of the organization
