Position Summary
Teleflex is seeking a Manager, Finance – Interventional to join our Finance department. This individual will advise the Finance team lead and the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) leadership team regarding risks and financial returns associated with strategic business growth. They will collaborate with the SBU leadership team and cross-functional stakeholders to provide decision support to the SBU. They will also develop alternative scenarios for annual and strategic plans, and work with department leaders to develop accurate financial metrics for SBU performance tracking on a monthly and quarterly basis. They will report financial results accurately on a timely basis and ensure compliance with requirements of external parties, including internal/external auditors.
This position can be based at our Morrisville, NC or Maple Grove, MN office. The selected candidate is expected to work onsite for a minimum of 3 days per week.
Principal Responsibilities
• Oversee monthly financial close activities to present SBU Financial statement and reporting packages. Provide analytical commentary on performance drivers. Investigate financial performance variances and assist business partners in taking appropriate corrective actions.
• Assist with the preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual plan.
• Deliver quarterly analytics on actual and forecast performance on a timely basis in response to corporate needs.
• Develop and present financial models showing impact on P/L of business initiatives and provide investment guidance; partner with the business to develop new product financial modeling.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and guidance to business partners.
• Identify and implement process and reporting improvements.
• Maintain the SBU control environment; monitor key accruals affecting the SBU and partner with accounting to ensure reserves are adequate.
• Maintain system components in SAP required for financial reporting such as additions and changes to automated accruals, cost centers, profit centers, and the SBU authorization matrix.
• Adhere to and ensure compliance with the Teleflex Code of Ethics, all company policies, rules, and procedures.
• Complete other duties and tasks assigned.
Education / Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA and/or Master’s degree a plus.
• 5+ years of progressive FP&A experience in a manufacturing environment; Medical Device experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Advanced skills in use of MS Excel.
• SAP and BI experience.
