Position Summary

Establish and implement human resource programs and processes to effectively acquire and retain talent, create and manage an effective EU MDR program structure, and ensure effective workforce planning strategies.   

Principal Responsibilities

Workforce Planning

•    Work closely with cross-functional teams to anticipate and plan for future staffing requirements. 
•    Lead cross-department initiatives to ensure that resources are allocated globally as required
•    Research, analyze, and compile data to report and track trends within the MDR function.
o    Tracking of MDR employee headcount, and staffing changes (hires/terminations/transfers). 
o    Analyze and make improvement recommendations related to employee retention.

Recruitment Coordination

•    Evaluate and improve current human resource processes to acquire, retain, and develop talent across the EU MDR project.  
•    Identify creative and effective recruitment strategies which bring top talent to Teleflex. 
•    Provide staffing support for MDR roles including:
o    Ensure open positions are identified and job requisitions opened in a timely manner
o    Track and escalate recruitment status by communicating cross functionally with Hiring Managers, HR, and Finance.  
o    Proactively identify and resolve concerns with recruiting timelines or strategies.
o    Coordinate with Talent Acquisition and other Shared Services to ensure the most effective processes are in place.

Onboarding & Training

•    Partner with HR teams and Hiring Managers to ensure appropriate onboarding plans are in place. 
o    Support onboarding of new hires, onboarding schedules, I-9 verification, badges, etc. 
o    May conduct onboarding, new hire orientation, and other new hire activities.

Employee Relations

•    Foster positive employee relations with MDR teams, hiring managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.  
•    Provide cross-functional communication with operations and BU as needed.
•    Administer HR policies and employee relations programs; assist employees with their questions and issues.

Key Talent Development

•    Develop and execute talent review processes for MDR program.
•    Identify retention risks and strategies to retain key talent during the life of the project

Internal and External Transition Post-MDR

•    Collaborate with management, finance, and HR to solidify exit strategies:
o    Create and execute upon exit strategy (offboard and reallocation of resources) for MDR program
o    Confirm each role has a workforce planning strategy (exit strategy).
o    Ensure effective change management processes are in place to ensure employee engagement. 
•    Identify opportunities and coordinate transfer within the organization where possible.
•    Execute transition process to ensure adherence to Teleflex Core Values at all times. 

Other

•    Provide other departmental support as requested by immediate supervisor.
•    Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex’s Code of Conduct, all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
•    Maintain employee records, job descriptions, etc.

Education / Experience Requirements

•    BS/BA in HR, business, or related field required.   
•    The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience and broad functional expertise in employee development, talent assessment, compensation, change management, employee relations, and employment law.
•    Strong skills using Microsoft Office Suite
