Position Summary

The Logistics Specialist & Data Analyst will report to the Program Manager & Senior Data Analyst to provide complex analytics in support of day-to-day reporting and strategic initiatives. This position will be responsible for maintaining and updating key reports to evaluate our logistics efficiency across North and Latin America. The Logistics Specialist and Data Analyst will also focus on strategic initiatives to continuously improve our offerings to internal and external stakeholders.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Support the Program Manager & Snr Data Analyst in the feasibility studies, planning and execution of continuous improvement initiatives to drive best in class value and service for Teleflex and our customers.  
•    Model, maintain and run reports to present spend visibility and Transportation key performance indicators to senior management.
•    Monitor and provide analysis with commentary on Transportation spend trends per mode, carrier, lane, and by CBM and weight. 
•    Utilize data to uncover potential future cost and service improvement projects. 
•    Develop and publish KPIs on the performance of Transport & Logistics in North & Latin America. 
•    Resolve ad-hoc operational problems and data requests.
•    Analyze data, draw sound conclusions and recommend effective courses of action for NALA operations.
•    Liaise with Regional Transport Managers to assist in carrier performance analysis and QBRs.
•    Extract data, analyze and make recommendations based on impact analysis.
•    Support formulation and development of long-term strategic plans by performing analytical tasks such as viability assessments and what-if analysis.
•    Provide project management and analytics support on ongoing L&D initiatives. 
•    Support consolidation and automate reporting, auditing and payment processing into one control tower.
•    Drive projects to completion and achieve cost savings target.
•    Create Transportation Innovation Committee to propose new ideas on how to improve Teleflex logistics network and stay on top of Transportation innovation.
•    Develop and support deployment of new technology systems and systems upgrades.

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management with minor in Analytics
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Analytics with minor in Logistics, Supply Chain Management
•    Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
•    At least two years of experience or six months of internship experience (if internship, must present portfolio)
•    Experience in medical device and transportation industries is highly preferred

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Proficient using Tableau Desktop or Tableau Server, R and Excel
•    Experience with MIS in Transportation and Logistics (EDI, file transfers, BOL, etc.)
•    Experience in Project Management principles, concepts, practices, standards, and related tool as applicable
•    Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills required
•    Experience with SAP or ERP preferred 
•    Experience with Transportation Management System preferred
