Position Summary

Reporting to the Director IT, Global Operations & QARA, this leadership position will be responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific Information Technology programs of projects across the Manufacturing and Supply Chain areas, ensuring consistency and alignment with company strategies, goals, processes, and procedures.

Principal Responsibilities


•    Partner with business stakeholders in ensuring that program scope, goals and deliverables anticipate future business requirements, and that any solution is scalable and adaptable in meeting these requirements.
•    Support the assessment process for new project requests including scope definition, analysis of possible solutions, resource, cost and schedule planning.
•    Develop requests for proposals (RFP’s) for external services.
•    With program partners, plan and schedule program timelines and milestones.
•    Develop an estimate of resources and the participants needed to achieve program goals.
•    Develop and execute comprehensive communications and stakeholder management plans.
•    Proactively seek and leverage meaningful external relationships and partnerships to identify innovative solutions in delivering program objectives.
•    Input to and support of the alignment of IT strategy to the objectives of the Global Operations team.


•    Lead project teams in the analysis, design, implementation and development of information systems.
•    Anticipate and pro-actively resolve program issues and conflicts over the program life cycle.
•    Lead internal collaboration of teams and/or stakeholders across the enterprise in delivering program objectives.
•    Lead a team towards decisions in an environment with high levels of ambiguity, complexity, and risk.


•    Manage program issues, risks, dependencies and change control within agreed processes to ensure delivery of program results within the agreed program scope. Provide timely visibility into key decisions, status, risks, and issues.
•    Ensure full compliance with all internal, Legal and Regulatory requirements and standards.
•    Maintain & monitor standards, controls, processes, and solutions, to minimize business and IT risk.
•    Oversight of Quality Assurance and the overall integrity of the programs.

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
•    Minimum 5 years' experience at Senior Project/Program Management level, preferably in the medical device manufacturing and distribution sector.
•    Formal Project / Program Management Qualification (e.g., PMP).

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Leading, designing and executing on multi-year, complex programs of business process and IT systems reengineering and change within a Supply Chain function.
•    Leadership of dispersed teams, partner organizations (both on and offshore) as well as the ability to manage teams working remotely.
•    The ability to prioritize and manage several projects and customers simultaneously.
•    Developing and maintain relationships with senior managers, project teams and third-party service providers.
•    Ability to articulate strategic requirements into appropriate goals and deliverables.
•    Ability to work across organizational boundaries at all levels through influence, negotiation and partnering for change.
•    Experience of building relationships with executive and senior leadership, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate at all levels. 
•    Strong problem solving and analytical skills, developing creative solutions and meeting project objectives.
•    Knowledge of Computer Systems Validation.
•    Excellent communication skills.
