Position Summary

The Human Resources Generalist role will support the full range of human resources activities and programs across multiple sites and functions.  This role will also assist and support management and the leadership team with handling and resolving HR issues.

Principal Responsibilities

•    Support and, as assigned, own the full range of HR activities, including policy coordination and interpretation, employee relations, salary and wage administration, workforce planning, recruitment and orientation, benefits, and talent development.  
•    Manage open positions, including coordination and tracking of available job requisitions, and liaise with the Talent Acquisition Teams and managers to ensure hiring strategies are identified and delivered upon.
•    Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation programs. 
•    Assist employees and managers with questions, concerns, and guidance related to HR policies and programs, employee relations issues, development and KTD support, etc. Provide support for and lead HR investigations, employee complaints, personnel issues, etc.
•    Maintain accurate employee status and organizational updates, including new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, salary adjustments, shift changes, org chart updates, etc., to maintain data integrity within the HRIS and timekeeping systems and to keep personnel files current.
•    Maintain accurate job descriptions for all roles.
•    Develop, communicate, and administer new policies to support the organization; interpret existing policies and procedures.
•    Identify opportunities for improvement in HR programs/processes, employee morale, and overall organizational health.  
•    Support HR leadership with organizational changes and change management programs. 
•    Investigate and resolve timekeeping or payroll issues. 
•    Track leave of absence and manage return to work dates. 
•    Maintain confidentiality of all employees, applicants, and other discretionary information.
•    Additional duties as requested by Supervisor.
 

Education / Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, labor relations, business, or related field preferred or equivalent Associate’s degree and experience.      
•    2-3 years of working experience in Human Resources or a related field, including demonstrated experience with multiple aspects of Human Resources and relevant employment regulations.
•    Human Resources Certification (SHRM or HRCI) preferred.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

•    Resourceful and organized. High energy level, ability to prioritize. 
•    Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).  HRIS experience preferred.
•    Ability to communicate with others at all levels tactfully and professionally 
•    Flexibility to engage with employees in multiple time zones and geographies.
•    Ability to work with highly confidential information and to respond professionally to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
•    Proven ability to drive change and lead projects
•    Ability to establish credibility and leadership with all levels of the organization
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.    
•    Assertive with a high level of self-motivation and initiative; willing to ask for assistance when needed
